Greetings,

Does anyone have any information regarding treatment of this? I've been wrestling with this periodically since 1977. Currently, its been keeping me awake more than I get to sleep. I've seen the new medicinal ads on TV about this, but in my research I've discovered most of them are Parkinsons meds, which I don't want to take. My husband told me about Butcher's Broom, but I have been unable to find anything about this. I would appreciate any and all information regarding restless legs and butcher's broom that you can post.

Thanks,
Faile

i'm not sure if this will help as i have no direct experience with restless leg, but i have tremors in my arms hands legs and feet (and face). I have no desire to take another medication to try to alieviate this side effect from other meds i have to take. i have found that massage with lavender eo in a carrier of almond oil is great before i go to bed. it helps my body to relax. i massage pretty vigorously into my arms and legs and really helps.

Hi, do you only do it at night? I have had restless leg for as long as I can remember. Some nights I wake myself up with it and other nights I bounce my man all over the bed. I often wake in the morning with sore ankles and tired.

On that note do you have any other problems with it that you may not have thought of. Why I say this is I had never associated it with anything else going on with my health. I have just under gone a sleep apnea test and this is one of the symptoms for it. The others are varied and you don't have to be a snorer, as I rarely snore. But have always been a good weight have gained 10 kilos in 12 mths, (put this down to stopping smoking in the last two & half years), always tired ( again just being a mum does that), the legs, some mood swings ( don't have to have pms), trouble concentrating etc etc. I never would have put these together. But apparently a lack of oxygen in your blood can cause the restless legs etc. Worth a thought anyway.
