Hello there

I would like to ask a little bit about behavior in women in their late 30`s

A have a sister in this stage, she is divorced and without children (like 3 years ago she divorced) and she has "rampant fury attacks" It is almost impossible to talk to her. Last time I even hanged up the phone to her as I was tired of her shouting at me for stupid things, I used to be her friend, but now she is mad at friends and foes without distintion at the smallest provocation.

I have the small suspicion that she has hormonal problems (well, not so smaill, im biochemist) she has very dry skin and hair lately and she smells a little funny. Can be already be at her climaterium?

What can I do to be able to cope or at least not fight innecesarily with her???

By the way, ignoring her is not a good universal tactic, as she seeks for fight when she wants to... and Im losing patience...

Oh, something else, she has no pagan initiations as me so directly advicing her a ritual or spell is not a good idea (she goes to an Osho center and almost anything not told by Osho, she does not like !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, (dont misunderstand me, I respect Osho, but a fanatic is never good, whoever the master)

Thanks for your advice, I see a lot of girls here so i think i will get much help

Thanks again and highest blessings

i think women and men in all stages of life go through rough patches that for others may seem like there are few situational reasons. your sister may be struggling with something she doesnt want to talk about or doesnt feel comfortable talking about. regardless of whether its hormonal, otherwise chemical or situational, the only thing to do is be supportive without absorbing her turmoil. no one needs another person's negativity. when you are around your sister try to stay grounded and within yourself, if she lashes out express how that effects you.

First I am sorry to hear that this has put distance between the two of you.

I think she is probably going through hormonal changes also at this point in her life, and that may contribute to the drastic moods. If you can get her to see a dr. they may find it is a hormonal imbalance and fixable with med‘s. Also keep in mind that anger is the easiest emotion, to turn to when you are sad or lonely if you cover it up with anger you don’t feel those others can show.. It also does nothing to solve the underlying emotions. It just seems to be a safer place for some people to be angry rather than sad.. Some find it imposable to admit to what they see as emotional weakness.
As far as dry skin and smelling an odd odder, it could be she is not taking care of herself the way she should, depression would have a lot to do with that, and if she drinks alcohol that would contribute to dry skin and a odd odder also.
If you can put up with the ranting perhaps she just needs to get it all out before she can even get close to the true hurt. You may need to be a punching bag but that just may be what it takes to get through the wall of anger she has up….
But I don’t know her, and you do so you may need to take a step back and try and see it from another side to figure it out.
And I hope it is not such a rocky road to regaining your relation ship with your sister..
Good luck!
