what do you all think of candles? do you make your own?

I also use candles everyday. I do a lot of candle magick. I especially like to use the 7 day ones. To me they are safer to use. They are enclosed in glass so I can leave them burning to finish the spell and I know nothing will catch fire while unattended.

I love candle I make them and sell them online they have been a passtion for a long time . what is candle magic?

If you go to our BOS (located at the top of the page) and click on it, then scrol down to "Candle Magick"...read the articles there, be sure to click on the more so you can see all the articles....there is the info you are looking for. Most Witches/Pagans use candles in their daily lives, I keep one lit 24/7 365 days a year....the flame from the last canlde will light the next one. On Samhain (October 31st, I let the candle go out, and light a new one with a new match....I have been doing this for about the last 18-20 years..and the only time I havent' been able to keep something lit is when I move...then it is lit after a thorough house blessing of the dwelling I am moving into.

I buy, make, and sell candles. I love the mysterious, flickering light they put off, their bright colors, and their beautiful scents. I make my own because it's cheaper and I can control exactly what goes in them. Every now and then I will find a synthetic fragrance oil that I really love, but for the most part I prefer natural soy wax candles with essential oils. They smell fantastic, and are good for the Earth. I also use them in spellwork, and have been happy with the results I've gotten. Sunlion I am glad that someone else has pointed out the dangers from their experience, it horrifies me that anyone would leave a candle unattended. Many years ago I was (luckily) woken by a sound to find my chest of drawers in my bedroom a blaze. I had fallen asleep with a candle burning in a glass holder and that holder had exploded. I was VERY lucky that I woke when I did because I managed to stop it spreading to the curtains or anything else in my room.
Just because a candle is housed in glass doesn't mean its safe as others have mentioned here. A candle should never be left unattended.

I use candles alot too, both homemade and shop bought, we get through ALOT here with doing candle magic, healing etc

I agree Hedgewitch that candles should never be left unattended...we place our 7-day candles in a coffee can we have designated for that pirpose every evening and when we leave the home...we have had 4 pop and break in the last year or so, and the can has helped control it.

Candles are dangerous...fire can kill and heal...as all the elements can...it is respecting the element you are working with that make us responsible and powerful Witches.

I LOVE CANDLES , I make my own and for my family, with the hectic job i have it really calmes me down and attunes me into the beautiful things of life, i do almost all my spells using candles, and it's always really cool when zoey the cat sits in.
