A very great morning to all.

Sounds like you all are very busy. House hunting what fun. We bought our house just over a year ago and still go to the open homes on Saturdays for a bit of a sticky. All the great ideas on where to put what, the gardens. The imagination can have so much fun.

Well a day of cooking some yummy things for the family today. You know kids and the "theres nothing to eat".

Then after school today is always busy with sport.

But thought I would drop in and say hi before making a start.

Hope you all have a great day.

Hi Bear. Where I am the kids have eight weeks over christmas usually start december to january; then two weeks over easter; and then two or so weeks in September. It adds up to 12 weeks spread over the year. On the coast they have six weeks over christmas, our guys are given two weeks either side for travel. As we're classed as remote. The dec to jan is good because that is the height of summer and we get in the very high fourties.

Whew, had a lot of posts to catch up on Smile

(birthday) Alora, hope you have a good one.

I had a pretty busy and adventurous 3 day weekend. Saturday we went to the river outside Richmond. We drove around for 2 hours cuz BF swears he remembered going to some parking lot 150 years ago that offers easy access to the river. We never found it, and we parked where a bunch of other people were parking. So we hiked and hiked and hiked through trees and rocks and stumbled onto a bridge, crossed the bridge, and voila the river rapids. And what sort of irked me was once we got there I saw the access to the place was a lot easier if we had parked where I suggested and we could have saved ourselves a few miles of hiking. But oh well, didn't harp on it and we had a great time playing in the river with our inner tubes.

Yesterday we went to Hollywood Cemetary to honor war vets. I have some pics that I uploaded to my gallery. It's a beautiful HUGE cemetary overlooking the river and it's home to a few US presidents (I have a picture of James Monroe's mausoleum up) and other prominent figures of the South. We went out to the country to where BF and his family spent summers. It was a spot on the river that was destroyed by a hurricane some years ago. While we were there, there was some guy and his nephew who were also reminiscing of that spot. Then Bart recognized him as his childhood friend! So we all spent the rest of the day together, sneaking into the old spots where they used to go (everything was closed off as it was private property Smile) I felt like a kid again, it was so much fun. We dug a hole in the sand, poured some charcoals in and cooked up some hot dogs we got at the local store. I think it was a fun Memorial Day all around.

Well it's been so hot here, 95F yesterday. We had to go out and buy a room AC unit. Our apartment is warm inside even when it's freezing outside (that's without heating), so it's like an oven now. The AC makes being at home bearable. Now I want one for the bedroom, I haven't slept properly all weekend due to the heat.

Well, I hope everyone is doing great. I'm off to check on the boards Smile

Looks like I've been demoted from a Magi with 4 pentacles by my name to an Apprentice with 3 pentacles. I've been de-pentacled! Laughing

Larc,

Thank you for sharing your photographs. I especially enjoyed the ones from the cemetery. I have taken many similar ones myself, around southern Indiana. (If only I had a scanner . . . . ) Is this something you've been doing a while? It looks like it.

By the way, my deepest condolences over the loss of your pentacle, as well as my wishes for a full recovery.

Blessings.

Hi everyone. A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALORA. Hope you have a wonderful one.

Well busy day for me today with taking the two oldest to have their braces adjusted and then catch up on all the study I put aside while the family was here.

What a windy cold day we have today. The weather here is so odd, we should have had cold weather for a while but haven't. It has been warm to hot up until now. Woke up to a shocking wind and cold.

Have a great day all.

Havin a bit of a break from study and looking up a few natural remedies so thought I would drop back in.

I have an idea for the dogs as had a neighbour who would let their dog out in the wee hours of the morning to do its business in my front yard so she didn't have to clean up her yard. Tried throwing it over the fence etc etc. Then found a couple of repellants and they did the trick for me so here they are.

1. chop, mas or grind a large whole bulb of garlic or a large onion, add a teaspoon of tabasco or a table spoon of cayenne pepper to 4 cups pf tepid water. Let steep for 1 to 2 hours, strain and put into spray bottle of watering can. Spray around the area needed.

or

2. sprinkle napthalene flakes freely on the grass and garden. Doesn't bother plants or mothballs do well also. Just need to be careful of small kids.

Worth a thought if the owners aren't going to do the right thing. As for the mail can you put a small lock on the mail box. Some people are just disgusting.

Good morning everyone.

Wonderful about the award Alora. Hope all goes well with the doc CM.

What a yuk day we have today. Cold and bleak. Rather tired today, son worked late last night so sat up to go get him. 15 year old boys should be locked away somewhere until the age of 20.

Well hope your days are great. I am off to do the school run and come home to a lovely hot coffee and a slice of toast.

Congrats Alora.

The necklace looks cool, and so Reavyn.

Hope all went well with Pops CM.

Freedom. I am so jealous.

Kath, as they should make an identical place for 15 yr old girls as well! I too have to sit up and wait to go get oldest (23 and still car hunting!) from work at 11:30p.m. Then to rise and be at work at 7:00 in the a.m.

I got some pics to post to, once they get unstuck from the processing machine at Walmart, lol.

Well guess I'm taking the 15 yr old, and her bike to her friends house to crash for the night.

Kenney Cab Co. at your service!

Good Morning-ish (almost noon now).

Freedom, keep it up, you'll meet those goals! I checked out your pics, they're really cool. I'm glad you enjoyed camping, it sounds great.

Alora, that's a beautiful trophy. Congratulations! I loved your teddy bear pics. It's funny, I had to give my teddies a little cuddle before going off to work this morning. For some reason I just needed it.

Work is crazy today and yesterday. I'm just popping in for a moment cuz I had to take a break from the lack of common sense around here. And the lack of help from my coworker. Well, I'll be nice because whereas I left at the usual time the last two days, he stayed a little late to get more work done. So I guess he's not helping me too much now, but it seems he trys to pull his weight later.

Just wanted to pop in and say "s'up" Laughing Have a great day everyone.

same thing with the pages here. Hopefully 98 is the curent page.

Sounds like an awesome spread CM, except for the chorizo, too greasey and spicey and makes tum tum hurt like a fricken fireball. Then that leads to praying to the porcelin God!

What's the occassion, and sorry if you posted it and I missed it. Seems I have ADD kickin in and just can't read every single word of anyone post!

think I am gonna tell hubby to run alone in the morning so I can sleep, otherwise it's back up at 6 on both days off! hell with that shit this weekend I'm sleeping by damn or, well his saturday night is gonna be short, lol. Twisted Evil Cause this girl will go to bed early, set alarm to get back up at 11:00 to go get oldest when she calls then back to bed, again!

In otherwords, come hell or high water, I'm getting some extra sleep this weekend if it kills someone!

guess after work I'm runnning for hubby, seems he sprung a gas leak on his way to work

Last night I got off at 3:15, took the cat to get stitches out. brought her home. Ran to bank, and to walmart. Forgot pics had to run back into walmart. Ran home. Ran out to grab us a bite to eat. Ran home. Went to look at car for oldest with hubby. Ran home. Ran to go get youngest, went home. Ran to target to get her some pants and a shirt, ran home. time I finally got to take my shoes off and stop.....8:30! Oh yeah ran to go get oldest 11:30, ran home time is now 11:35, I finally get to go to sleep!! And I wonder why I'm always tired! sheesh!

This weekend is gonna be some good old fashioned self centered ME time!

Well hi ho hi ho it's off to work I go, and then back again on sunday afternoon cause we're short handed!
