Hi everyone

I'm new to this forum and was drawn in by the blue moon post. I'm having trouble finding anything out about it. I know what they are and why they are called a blue moon, but I'm more interested in how they can affect us in an astrologically or energetic way.

I've added the 'Moon goddess' book to my wish list, but would welcome any more ideas on how to use this energy for the good of all.

I have a friend who is starting a new career venture on this day and she feels it is very auspicious; is that so, or is there anything she should look out for?

May 31st is a Full Moon (also a Blue Moon) at 10°12' Sagittarius at 6:04 pm PDT, 7:04 pm MDT, 8:04 pm CDT and 9:04 pm EDT.

Personally, this is my favorite Full Moon of the year. It opens our mind, intrigues us with new ideas and exciting possibilities. We are drawn to greener pastures and new adventures, rather real or imaginary. Communications in general are lighter, as our own opinions don't seem as important as listening to those around us. A re-evaluation of your long-held positions may need some updating under this influence.

This infrequent and exceptional Blue Moon phase seen about every two-and-a-half years encompasses extraordinary power. The Blue Moon is a time of enormous influence for prophecy and divination. Its energies can be summoned for protection, wisdom and love. It is believed that any workings held beneath the Blue Moon are given additional magickal energy, which makes this time magnificent for all work in manifesting goals, passion, healing, strength, and power.

Since time became time and the Gods set in motion the seasons held within the turning of the Wheel we have looked skyward for knowledge and power.

The Moon and its lunar phases have always been an important part of determining when and what magick is best to be worked.

To Witches, the second New Moon to appear in the same calendar month is called the Black Moon, and any magick worked during this period is deemed to be extremely powerful as well. Of course, the chances of two New Moons falling within one calendar month are just the same as two Full Moons, but because New Moons are generally invisible, most people tend not to notice when a month has two of them.

Focus on the big picture, be a keen observer and avid learner and ask that higher truths be revealed to you and you will be making good use of this great Moon energy.
