I have some question about preparing magickal oils since I couldnt access the section named "Recipes & crafts".

Since here in Egypt I cant get those special blends so I decided to make my own blends.

I dont know if this is the right subforum to post my thread in but I searched for any one under the topic that I want but didnt find except that one.

Here we go. I Have jasmine and rose essntial oil absolute and I want to dilute them.they come in a very small bottles and I cant use them becasue they will be so concentrated.

So any ideas for how to make another bottle of a diluted jasmine or rose oil? I have virgin olive oil and sunflower oil so I just need the certain number of drops and certain number of oil that I will put.

I also want to make some blends.....Say I want to make an Aries blend oil.

the recipe is:
3 drops Frankincense
1 drop Ginger
1 drop Black pepper
1 drop Petitgrain

First I dont know how is the drop size because I dont have a dropper that comes with these oils...second when I belnd these oils I will just annoint them directly to my body or I will still add them to a carrier oil?

The recipe says that:
Wear as a personal oil to increase courage,energy and the zodiac powers.

So if anyone knows how to make that recipe exactly please tell me and answer me the rest of these questions.

I would suggest you read the info in our BOS (above and on the sidebar to the left) under Aromatherapy, to further educate yourself on using essential oils safely. They can be dangerous if not used properly and can make you very ill.

A drop can be done with a toothpick when dealing with absolutes....and I would use the sunflower oil, as the olive oil will impart a fragrance to your blend. You didn't state how large the bottles of absolutes were? What size is the bottle? (1/4 dram, 1 dram?)

As with all blends you will need to dilute it before using it for cosmetic purposes.

For the blend you posted, I would use 8 ounces of carrier oil. All essential oils should be diluted before applying to the skin. The only exceptions I would recommend are lavendar and tea-tree.

About the size of the rose and jasmine essential oil bottle I think it is 1/3 dram

I bought some small glasses and filled their 1/8 part of sunflower oil then added 7 drops of Rose.Is that enough or shall I put more?

Sure I will post some pictures, you will really like it....I have many pictures for the egyptian museum .....I will see if I can post them tomorrow.
