I am fairly new to paganism (3 years) after being an aetheist most of my life. I have been learning the tarot by reading myself and a few select friends, however, my daughter surprised me recently. I do not hide my learnings from her, but the only time I can find to read tarot is after she has gone to bed, so she doesn't know much about it. We were at a gathering of friends a few weeks ago, and she brought a regular deck of cards into the room where all of us adults were and asked if she could "read" me. I said of course, and she laid them out in a pattern that I hadn't seen before, and she described the cards and what they meant perfectly! She went on to read most of the adults, and again, understood the cards and was dead on with her readings of them. I was incredibly happy, and one of my friends gave her a deck of tarot cards a few days later, as she obviously has a talent.

Many people begin reading with playing cards and alot of folks actually prefer them. I read with both, but prefer tarot....your daughter and yourself have many cherished memories ahead of you!! What a belssings she is to have you as a Mom!

How wonderful that you cherish and acknowledge your daughters talents. When we study and learn to be able to do what we do, but she just is. I also have a daughter with her own talents. I believe the fact that we are so open to all that is helps them and doesn't squash their abilities. Which was usually the way when we were growing up. Good for the both of you, learn and grow together.

Merry Meet and welcome! How wonderful that your daughter has a talent reading. I work Angel Divination and didn't know I had any divination talent until I was about 53 years old!! Knew I had a relationship with angels, but didn't know about the divination part!!
