I love freecycle. I find homes for things I no longer want or need and sometimes I find a hard to find item for FREE! It makes me happy to know the things I want to discard are given new homes.

I love freecycle too. I was a member when I lived in Wisconsin and now I am a member of the local one here in Missouri. It is so nice to be able to help others out. Just recently I was able to help a woman who brought children into her home and heart to keep them safe by donating a crib. They were just as surprised as I was that no one had taken the offer for it before them, as it sat on the board for a couple of weeks. But, all things happen for a reason and they were meant to have it.
I gave so much baby stuff away in Wisconsin. Stuff that would have just taken up space because I couldn't see throwing it out and risking it going to the dump.

Of course most of the things given away are things people would pay money for. But, I like to be able to help those that can't afford to pay or are in desperate need of something.

I'm not sure if there is a list available in Canada or not. But, a google search for Free Cycle in Canada should bring up something. Good luck.

We have Freecycle in the UK too, and I love it! My husband and I recently started renting an unfurnished house, and from Freecycle we managed to get a sofa, chair, fridge freezer, bed, chest of drawers, tv cabinet, curtains and a lampshade! It was amazing!

If I had something that was still usable but that I didn't need I would definitely put it on Freecycle, it's a great idea.

I think there is also a Pagan Freecycle here in the UK, but I don't know if there is a US or Canadian equivalent.

I never thought to look to see if there was a Pagan free cycle. But a quick search and it seems it depends on where in the States you live. But, there are some available.
I really like that idea. I could see a lot of people being helped with that. So long as it wasn't abused by those that just want to take and take without ever giving.
