I wish your sister-in-law much luck with this situation. This could be caused by any number of things and only a gyn can diagnose it. It could be a broken blood vessel or it could be more serious such as cervical dysplasia/cancer...or any other number of problems.
Again, these are things that only a qualified doctor, performing medical tests, can say. Even if you find someone, somewhere, that will tell you what type of herbs to take..I strongly suggest NOT taking them until she knows exactly what it is she is dealing with.
Her lack of energy could be due to anemia which can be caused by blood loss. A basic blood test will tell her if she has that or not. The only thing I would suggest is eating foods that are high in iron. But, it is very important to go to a doctor about anemia also because it can be very serious and if left untreated can lead to death.
If she takes vitamins and they are the wrong amount, she can die that way also. Iron is not a vitamin that will just pass out of the system as you use it (like vitamin C..the excess just passes in your urine).
So as you can see, self treating, even with something that seems as simple as vitamins, can be deadly. This is a medical problem that she needs treated by medical professionals.
Again, good luck to her. I hope that it is nothing serious and can be cured quickly and easily.
