Hello EnchantedWhiteLioness,
I went through similar issues when I moved last year. I didn't know any one and felt very alone.
The best advice I can offer you is to treat this as a time for new beginnings. I think at that time, I was meant to be introspective and work on myself as an individual. I did perform a few spells to assist me in meeting people, but I found the most important thing to come out of my magic during that period was the realization that I had to prepare my self in this new beginning before I made friends. Sure enough, once I had spent a period in introspection and organizing my new life to the point I was content with, I met a true friend exactly when I needed one the most.
As far as a ritual to get you through the time, try this:
Once you get home from work, perform your nightly chores of cleaning and preparation for the following day. Once you are finished, turn of your TV and radio. Go take a nice relaxing bath or shower, and when you get out, apply a lotion, cream, or oil in a scent you find most comforting. Go to your kitchen and make a cup of herbal tea, such as Chamomile, or pour a small glass of wine. Turn off all the lights and sit before your altar. Light a white candle. After this, talk about your deepest fears and hopes with your chosen Divine figure. Be deeply honest, and think about your underlying emotion in every word you speak. After you have finished, sit back and sip your tea until you are ready to go to bed.
I found that this small ritual was very theraputic. It's a bit draining the first few times you do it, but it gets your mind in order and helps you prepare you for your future friendships.
Many blessings.
