MM All,

Just wondering about something - I keep hearing about recalling past life memories - but what about memories from this lifetime? Although I know that we all have clear images stored away of moments in our lives, some that can be recalled much better than others, how would you recall the memories that are a little fuzzy?

The reason I'm asking is that something happened in 2005 when I was in Europe, and it was one of those significant moments but there are parts of the scene that I can't rebuild that are important to what is happening in my life NOW. Does anyone have suggestions on bringing up clear images from the past?

Any help would be appreciated, blessings and light,

Annwyn

Hi Annwyn,

I would recommend journalling. Try to write down things as they come to you, and add to it on a daily basis if you can. As you journal, things will come up that you might have forgotten. And also you can look nack from time to time and see how you are doing in certain situations and gain the wisdom and lessons learned from each life-adventure.

Also burning rosemary incense and/or an aromatherapy lamp could assisy you as well.

Let the memories come as they can, don't force yourself to try and remember, for this will only frustrate you. Be easy on yourself, and know that your Inner-self will always harbor the memories and lessons, and only thru journalling and looking back will you be able to process things on a conscious level.

Dreaming is a different thing altogether. I would recommend writing down your dreams as well, and altho they speak in metaphor many times, they have much info that can assist you too.

Blessings Bright and Dark,

Some of the things that help me with specific memory recall are clothing I wore at the time, food or music associated with the memory, and, especially aromas.  Reproducing a scent from your time in Europe--perfume, tobacco smoke, food odor or even something as mundane as a particular paint or cleaning chemical, can work wonders.  These are just thiings that work best for me--sometimes whether I want them to or not.

Blessings.

Annwyn,
For me the best way to recall a past event is through my dreams. I spend some time at my altar before bed, focusing on the subject asking my inner self to help me remember. I then burn dream incense as I ready for bed.

As Lady Elaine stated I write down what I remember from my dreams. They are never a complete replay but I normal have a pretty good idea. Everyone has their own way to call to their soul. You could also try using your spiritual guide they are a great source of guidance.

I hope you find what you seek.

Carefully what you ask for...   You might get it.
