Hope all went well with Neeka.  I expect it is just the right time for you.

Lady E I agree, the energy is not a negative one that for sure.  There surely a change a coming.

On another note of change the moving bug has bitten me and I would so love to move back to the coast.  This may take at least two years to come to happen, what with the kids etc.  But I am already excited about the thought of it all.

Well of for a look see at everything.

Well, the convo re: maybe baybee went well. There are a ton of things to be considered, of course, but he was very open to the idea. Had a great weekend, relaxing, house still a mess, but oh well. I went to the Dallas Museum of Art to see this great Indian art exhibit with a friend and then went home and watched the new BBC version of Jane Austin's Persuasion while husband was at the gym, made a pot of split pea soup, and then watched part of a movie with my husband. So perfect. So perfect that I couldn't get out of bed this morning. Wish I had MLK day off like the kiddos and feds!

Still good energy. Must be the full moon in Leo coming...
Kath-the coast sounds lovely. I have never lived that close to the sea. Even in California, I was always at least 1.5 hr drive from the ocean. I love being by the water, but in CA, it's just too expensive. If we do ever move to CA from TX, it will probably be to the mountains, where I'm from. It's beautiful there too.

So LE, you want to move too, huh? CO is fantastic. I drove through just parts of southern CO over Labor Day and thought it was gorgeous. We drove through Durango and then onto Santa Fe, which I loved too. Anywhere that's not flat I like!!

Have a great moon-day, y'all!

All this talk about moving!

Lady E, I can't say I blame you for wanting to get the hell out - nobody wants to live and die here in Funroe >.> Incidentally, there's a little town about an hour from here just a little ways into south Arkansas...it's not much more than a gas station but hey, it's home to me. I am very seriously considering moving back there. I mentioned it in passing to my father yesterday, whose response was a scowl and an angry, "You're trying so hard to get an education, and with all you could do with it, you want to move to Crossett!?"

Oh well.

I'm glad everyone is getting on so well. There's definitely a positive energy here, and I'm loving it. Back-to-school stress is a killer - it lightens my mood to come here and see everybody just chill'axin =)

Today is my four-year anniversary with my girlfriend. Our plan of action for the day is maybe catch a bite to eat, then head back to our apartment and watch Disney movies all day. Terribly romantic, no? =P

I will probably have to call the evening short, though. I have to present a speech in my communications class tomorrow and I lost all my notes >.<! On top of having to re-write those, my philosophy professor wants me to bring my Tarot deck to class for her tomorrow. I don't know what she wants with them - or me - so I want to spend some quality time with my deck tonight so I won't feel so edgy if she starts asking me questions. I have no self-confidence, what can I say?

And on that slightly pathetic note, here's hoping everybody has a fantastic week! ^^;

Well I am here to have a bit of a brag.  My oldest son got an apprentership today and we are so very proud of him.  It was a worry allowing him to leave school but it is such a great opportunity for him that it would be a real shame to pass it up.  He has wanted it for a long time and has been lucky enough to get one.  He has achieved wonderful things.

A great changing year this year.  Oldest off to work and the youngest off to school.  My goodness in the feelings of pride and happiness are also the ones of cutting those strings.

Hi everyone.

Well the school year has once again started.  My youndest as begun her school life.  She did it very happily, but I have cried for the last two days ( she has only been going for two days mind you).

My son also started his apprentership and is so excited.  They grow up so fast.  We are so very proud of him.

Today is my first day home alone and I have been keeping myself busy baking etc.  I feel a little lost and expect it will take a day or two to settle into my new routine as well.  After 16 years of having one or more with me it is a huge adjustment.  A redefining of myself.  I look forward to seeing myself in a few weeks when I am more settled with it all.

Well my next lot of sausage rolls are not too far from being done and I am off to have a look around.

See you all soon.

Howdy guys. Sorry I haven't been around, life got in the way. By the look of it, I'm not the only one =P Hope everything is going well for everybody.

Kath, glad to hear things going nicely in your neck of the woods. Here's hoping all the happiness for you and your son =)

I got a new pet the other day. She's a small breed rat, my first (my other two are large rats), white with a black hood and a large black spot on her back. I named her Babygirl, and she is just too precious. My girlfriend already claimed her for her own - and offered her three pet mice in exchange. Told her it just wasn't happening - her mice are cute as hell, but they annoy the piss out of me ^^;

My living room got a makeover this week. I skipped my afternoon classes on Monday in order to fix it up. I built a new television stand (for our new flat screen *squee*) and a set of shelves, and moved out our old loveseat in favor of a new, much larger couch. The new couch was heavy like a mother bitch - it was not fun to move all by my lonesome. On that note, my mad furniture moving/building skillz blessed me with the evanescent epithet "Super Lesbian"...ha, as if I weren't so already =P Now I just have to set up my girl's computer before next week because we should be getting internet Wednesday. Unfortunately, I made plans to meet up and study with my German classmates at Starbucks that afternoon, and if the cable people don't show before my girl goes to work, I'll have to miss the study session - and I need it, bad. Ugh, reckon I'll figure something out.

Now, however, is the time to lie down and be miserable. I am losing the fight with an on-coming cold. I come down with strep-throat several times a year, usually coupled with a mild case of the flu or a severe sinus problem, depending on the season; every 13-15 weeks, just like clockwork. Since it's uber difficult to battle strep without a shot, I am loading up on the meds in advance. I think it has already set in though...wah, I don't want a needle in the butt! ;-;

Signing off on a pathetic note once again, but wishing y'all a great one all the same ^^;

Hi everyone.

Life is rolling on.  My son is loving his apprentership so far ( even though it has been only a week).  My little one has cried the last two drop offs at school.  It breaks my heart to leave her like that, but I am sure she will get use to it.  And the teacher tells me she is ok not long after I leave.  So a hug , a kiss and praise for being such a big girl along with the reassurance that I will be back in the afternoon to get her.  Mind you I wish I could just scoup her up and take her home, but that would be just as much for me as her.

Krissy your redoing sound great.  Although it can be some hard work on your own.

Well I am off for a look around and than to hit the books for some study.

B safe all.

Well I have just had the best morning ever.

I had to run some errands up town this morning after dropping the kids to school, on the way home I hummed and harred about dropping into the new new age shop.  As some may know from a different post some of the energies in there are not that great, but anyway.  I did stop in and found what I wanted for my man for valentines day, while in there I got the best surprise ever.  My Reiki Master walked in, she moved from town years ago and during some life upheavels I lost touch with her about three years ago.  It was such a great thing.  She followed me home for a two hour cuppa and catch up.  It has truely uplifted me in so many ways.  I had been feeling a little low with the kids starting school and trying to find my new roll of being on my own at home during the day etc etc.  This hit the spot.

So wonderful how the universe works.  It was great to see her and catch up after such a long time.

I hope you all have had a great day as well.

Hi Kath

Your day sounds like it was blissful!   It is always so good to catch up with sisters/friends that you haven't seen in a while.  I love it when that happens.   Smile    You always come away from those feeling inspired and fresh somehow.

I understand about the lostness when the children go off to school.  I remember that well, mine are all grown now but I used to get sad when they went back to school.  Then in a few weeks I remember fully enjoying my space.  lol

I hope you don't mind me joining in on the chat

Hope everyone is having a blessed eve

Morning All,

Aleea you are very welcome to join us here Very Happy it is a pleasure to have your sweet Soul back with us!

Kath what an awesome day.....its days like those that place that imprint in your mind of "golden times." Smile

Krissychan, don't apologize for not being around.....heck, we all do have lives outside of our castle (well, except for me Shocked ). Just pop in when you can, and let us know how you are!

Today we are supposedly going to get severe weather...looks like later this afternoon/early evening. They even had instructions posted on last nights news cast on what to do doing a tornado/severe storm. Crying or Very sad  I am not going to let it me deter me, tho. I am just going to buy some batteries for the radio, and be watchful. The one thing around here is all of the very old 80-foot tall trees. Alot fo them lost branches with last weeks winds (around here a wind is about 20-30 mph). We have one tree in the back yard that needs to come down as well. Maybe tonight will be the night. It would be easier if it just feel as opposed to hiring someone to cut it down....lol....termites, wood beetles and woodpeckers are almost to the point of cutting half of the trunk out of it....on the other side of the tree is a "fairy hole" so it literally is being supported by its weight, not its strength. So, a good strong blast of wind, should send it tumbling.....(I see wands and staffs) it is a type of water oak, and I have been speakig with it, and encouraging it that its ok....it doesn't want to give up, but it's old, ill and really bare and knows.....

In other realms, I am working on the "Burning Times" in our BOS,  the encyclopedias and also a new deck for our divination module,,,if anyone has any ideas for new stuff, let me know.....

Take care everyone, and be well whereever you dwell!

Blessings Bright and Dark,

Hi there everyone.

Aleea the more the merrier in here.

Novia I expect it gets to be too much after a while with the snow, just as we get far too much heat after a while.  But I would love to see it on day.  I see pictures on the news of the snow fall over there and it looks so beautiful.  But even beautiful wears thin after a while.

Lady E hope you faired well with the weather your way.

Well after a night of discussion with my man about my Reiki Master, who also is a dear friend.  He has decided he would like to do Level 1 and doesn't mind if I offer our spare room to her to use to do her classes.  I was very excited about this, its so nice to have someone with similar interests and someone to have great conversations with.  I am a lucky woman.
