Just wanted to say hello to all of you again and thanks for the start on a journey of self discovery that has me back at 0 degrees of the spiral we all ascend with.  Some of you may remember me and to all the others out there Hello!  I tend to move in cycles as this time of year is the most busy for me, as here where I reside, is when I am getting all the things I do started from seed and graft. This is also when I like to play as the snow is just right for riding and stomping thru.  The animals are out to watch and the air is crisp and clean. For those who don't know of me, I reside 200 miles from my nearest neighbors and civilization so things I want to do have to be planned way in advance of actual implementation.  This last year has been a wild roller coaster of extremes for me and as time goes on ( or back or leap frogs or whatever it does) I have been on a path of learning to balance and center my orientation of self.  To all who are new to this life my only advice  Hang on cause it is exhilarating to the max, you will never be bored and you might just learn something that will blow your mind and attitude right off the mainstream charts....

Hello Tundrawoman,

Nice to see you again. How is Alaska been treating you? It sounds as if you have been going through alot of changes, and that must be exciting (at least some of the time). The rollar-coaster of life tends to really have some ups and downs as of lately, doesn't it?

So tell us how you  and your body react to daylight all the time? I have always desired to know how things are up there when the sun never sets...or even when the sun never rises....very interesting to me. Smile

Godd for you to stop by, wander around a bit, and check out what we have added since your last visit, and enjoy!

Blessings Bright and Dark,

LE,  good to hear from you too

Alaska the land is great, Alaska the system of whatever is still being that wierd place of vacumn LOL. And of course it is just going to get worse instead of better as common sense has flown the coop.  Since I last talked with you all a lot has happened....My husband commited suicide rather than face the music of his actions which caused a domino effect in his family's ability to cope. We have been excommunicated by the family so to speak, its too bad they can't have the name back too but thats the way life goes.....can you tell I don't have much sympathy???oooops.   Myself and my son are doing rather well considering.  Every day is a new begining with its challenges of course but we both seem to be weathering the changes well.  I think that a lot of that stems from relief from oppression and dark clouds that were always a part of our life before. The yellow brick road no longer is made of brittle egg shells.

In answer to your questions about light/no light..... ever since winter solstice we have been gaining in light so the cycles continue.  Some people have a hard time with the darkness (SADDS??Ithink thats the abrv. for it) and I can see why, but for myself I was born here so this is just the way it is and my son being born here also accepts it as a way that is.  He used to try to use the dark as excuses not to go to school or the light at night as an excuse not to go to bed when he was a youngster Very Happy  The last time I spent anytime outside of Alaska I couldn't get used to Day and Night year round so I guess that is why I can relate to people not liking the way it is here

Today for instance.... 18 below F,not a cloud in the sky, and civil twilight at 9 am wasn't actual daylight till about 10 am.  As soon as I can get dinner in the oven so it does the work not me....I am jumping on the snowmachine and going to play in the 2 1/2 ft of snow we got in the last week    yeeeeeeha.    I always get excited when I get to go outside and play Laughing  Next week when the wind comes back and the sky is overcast and the snow falls I will be getting all the garden starts organized and set up so I am ready for actual germination and seedlings in the middle of Feb.  It will be middle to end of May before I trust the ground not to freeze so it only gives me about three months to do it all in the summer here.  But the summer is 24/7 so the trade offs are acceptable to me.

The upgraded site is wonderful....I will be making the time to explore all the new nooks and crannies of the castle....and heres to hoping to reconnect with some friends...
I also wanted to say thank you for the "Words of Wisdom"  site as a lot of what I have found there helped me realize just what I could be and want to be.  We all have to find our own way in this 3D reality, but it sure is nice to have "friends" along the way helping to show other ways to go than the hard one.....

well I have to go back to work now, Our fuel plane is on final approach and I am the radio voice giving winds and altimeter so they can land without mishap

Tundra Woman,

What a relief to hear from you again. And, oddly, I have been gone awhile myself and just came back. I had taken you so much to heart when reading your life's hardship. Couldn't imagine what had happened when you dropped off the site. Worried that you were in trouble and had no access to the site and your home away from home.  Finally broke down and asked around, hoping that someone else had heard from you. Just had to put all my hopes for you into a pink bubble and send them up and away to find you.

Bless you and thank you for checking back in on the day I happen to be here also.

Hey there Hi there Sundown

Was just wondering if in your wanderings you have run across any "Diamond Willow". If your interested let me know as I have some. I thought of it today when I was unpressing my "Willow Roses". They make nice flowers for my little window hangings.  I press them between glass and bind them with Moose Hide lacing.  As they are all leaf they do not fade like delicate flowers do.  Living like I do I need a little sturdier fare for my projects.  Well I'm off to bed   its been a long day working and playing.   By the way I got a feeling you are no older than I am. Wink

WB Tundrawoman.

Sounds like life has def been a journey for you, and you def sound like you are fairing very well, all things considered.

You are living the life my hubby talks about incessantly, although I don't think he honestly factors in the cold. He's turning into not so much the people person anymore. he has this near obsession with moving up there!  Shocked

I'm a realist. Would be a drastic change to put it ever ever so mildly!

Glad you have wandered back to the castle finally.

So we leave and we return and the circle goes on.  I have been lurking in the background of my witchy  boards for awhile now.  I needed to clear my head after meeting a wiccan wannabe who insisted I was a high priestess.  I prefer just being an Elder or Crone, for those I've earned.

Life has taken another turn for me.  I met someone moved from my mountain and we started a business outside Boston, MA.  He has encouraged me to share my writing and a few of my things have actually been published.  I'm an Author.  Although I'm still working hard to develop my signature in case anyone ever wants a signed copy.  No takers yet.

Today, I cleaned my house and reorganized my books and altar things.

So, hello, again.

moonmyst is back .

To All

It's a little overwhelming all the love I feel coming from you.  Okay Okay not overwhelming it feels great..... A few words about living this lifestyle..... It can be downright frustrating what with TSA climbing up your butt about the amount of matches you want to bring with you (there are true stories about getting to your destination and your fuel and fire making ability has been confiscated and your only notice is a slip in your checked baggage informing you FORBIDDEN and your only connection to more flew away 15 minutes ago) and if you need things thru the mail you now have to do it in person...... there is no post office here       Today the world is full of morons when they can play the irratation police.   Yes, the guys get off on the macho stuff but when you do this year round you have to plan on what you need first than on what you want.  If you don't get the needs out of the way you can die.  I was born here and have been raised here and choose to stay with what I know.  I have heard they did a movie recently about one such person. He died of starvation because of not being prepared.  I may offend some of you with the following statements please do not take this personally but if your dreams move in on you to come to Alaska to live take some advice....unless you plan on living in Anchorage or Fairbanks be prepared to live without much interaction with humankind as the road to nowhere is here....literally..... On the Parks Highway (Anchorage to Fairbanks 366 miles) there are seven so called towns   blink your eyes and you wont even see them much less know about them.  Three houses together on the highway is enough for a name on a sign.  If you live further out like I do, you have to think about the weight and bulk and airfare to get the essentials that you cannot grow yourself or make yourself.  I have a hard time drumming up much sympathy for individuals like the photographer that got ate by brown bears....camp out in the middle of a bear highway with no firearm to take pictures and get yourself killed by a wild animal.....  I just can't feel sorry for an idiot.... and it does P*** me off that his girlfriend that came to visit him got ate too.  She trusted his ability to protect and he failed her.  You do not live in the wilderness without firearms and being proficient in their use is a top priority.  well now that I got that out of my system I will tell you that there is nothing like the exhileration of waking up in the morning in the summer.....the sky is blue the grass is green and everything is beautiful ,  in the winter unlesss you have a secure dwelling  its the sky is blue the snow is deep and it can be colder than a gravediggers a**. But not here today  it is 37 above ,the wind is blowing at a steady 35 mph and I got to get to work  so you all have a great day and I will get back to you soonest, that is if the wind doesn't blow the dish off the stanchons and outside link-up goes kaput   Laughing  Wink

Love and laughter
