I am a Wiccan Solitaire and I recently (kind of ) moved to another state after a divorce. I moved into this little, little house after leaving a very large one. The point is, my yard was landscaped already at my big house- I just got to have fun planting what I wanted, etc. This house has a yard that looks like no one has ever attended to it. Every kind of weed and grass co-exists seemingly fine. But it looks AWFUL. I am experiencing an ethical dilemma concerning the prospect of ripping these poor things out by their roots in order to have a decent yard, and so I can plant what I want. I am also an Empath- with regard to animals, plants and people - sometimes, even rocks! The thought of doing this to these happy weeds turns my stomach, but I must do something! I suppose I'm looking for permission.... Can you help? BB

This is just a thought from a novice, but could you maybe harvest what you can, drying it for future use, perhaps set aside a small plot of "weeds" and then offer up the rest (that you have uprooted from the yard) to Spirit as an offering bonfire?  After all, the energy in them is returned to the earth.  
That's really an interesting dilemma.  I'm curious to see other answers.

Find a small section where animals/birds etc seem to like. Maybe a small area in back. Leave it wild. Fix the rest to suit you and your needs. Share and live together, within reason
