Good day to everyone.

I'm writing a story and the main character, Frankie, gets a reading. She's a Witch like her mother before her and her grandmother and so on but she doesn't know or remember anything about it. Her mother disappeared when she was three and she knows nothing about her father. She was raised by her grandmother then moved to the city to go to college and to work and rarely went back to her hometown afterwards. She's about to turn 30.

The reading:
She pulls 3 cards out.
The first card is for the past, it says that Frankie's past is pretty nebulous as she doesn't remember much of her youth and the reader tells her that the reason she left the Path (The Craft) might be to protect herself because her mother disappeared in strange circumstances.

The second card, the present, says that Frankie will go through difficult times shortly - mainly it's her grandmother's death and what she'll find about her lineage. The reader also tells Frankie to be careful to whom she gives her trust, someone in her friends circle wants to hurt her.

The third card, the future, I want it to be Death, but in a way that, combined with the other two, means the end of some things and the beginning of others, good and/or bad.

So my questions are: What cards would she pull out for past and present?
And is it at all possible? If not, do you have any suggestions?

Thank you in advance for anyone's input. I really appreciate it.
Blessings!

Hi Moonflower

Pull three yourself and place the meanings there. You could have a very interesting reading and also incorporate it into your story. Please try to keep the Witch lifestyle in perspective and not make it too "Hollywood" there are plenty of stories out there that mis-represent us....please don't let yours be one of them. Smile

You could utilize our "Divination Suite" on the sidebar to come up with three cards too....

Good luck.  I too am a writer so I know how hard it can be to put your ideas down on paper.  I am writing a book about an indigo child who grew up being teased and made to feel like an outcast  by her peers and speaking to spirits (or what her mom called her imaginary friend). It can be tough to make it interesting with out being unbelievable.  For most of the story I plan for Melissa, my character, to be about 15 but I am starting out with her at about 4 for a bit of back ground and character development. Let us know when you finish your book, I am sure we all want to read it.

by the way, have you thought of a title?  I plan to call mine Deep Blue.  That is if I ever finish it.  I am the queen of unfinished projects

How exciting for you to be working on a book!  All the best to you!!!

Intuitively, I was feeling
past: The Moon
present: Five of Swords

mysticalriver, I was also thinking very strongly of the five of swords for the present, but for some reason, my mind went blank with the past.  The moon makes total sense!  (And now, of course, I feel silly... Laughing )  I couldn't get past the 6 of cups... Confused
