Thank you all.  And yes Aleea I am hoping for a nice time spent with my daughter.

We have plans to watch my youngest son play football this afternoon, then their school is having a fate so it will be off to that.  The kids are so looking forward to going and it will be nice to be all out as a family all together.

So I hope you all have a nice weekend when it comes around for you guys as today is Friday for me.

This weekend I will also be getting my spare room ready for my friend who is also my Reiki Master.  She is holding her attunements here next weekend.  It has come around so fast, I am very excited for my man who is doing level 1.  But I also get to spend time with her and am doing my level III .  I love the feeling of the energies when being attuned and there after.

Be safe everyone.  I hope the weekend brings you all lovely surprises and affection with your loved ones.

Well hello everyone.

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.  And for those of us just finishing the weekend hop it was great.

We had somewhat of a good one.  My oldest girl came over for the weekend.  It got off to a bit of a rocky start but improved after that.  We went to the younger kids school fate.  Was a nice night, the kids had a great time.  We also went to my youngest sons first footy game, I love watching them play.  It is such a big deal to them, he was the half back which is a major position in the team, so he was ten feet tall.  So good to see.

We also got the downstairs room cleaned up for the Reiki attunements this weekend.  My friend arrives on wednesday and I am so excited to have her here and doing the reiki at the house.  The energies are rising already in anticipation.  I have put some lovely pot plants, crystals and made a nice alter in there for her to set up her bits and pieces on.  So exciting.  I am also looking forward to just spending some time with my friend for a week or so, her company is lovely.

Sounds like a wonderful weekend; your reiki room sounds lovely.

Well, I spent my weekend doing absolutely nothing, lazylazylazy. I spent some time with my oldest son and his family, and looked at a little S-10 truck I'm thinking about buying, and I read alot. Never got around to grocery shopping or doing my laundry, so I guess I will be playing catch up tomorrow after I get off work. My bad!

hey everyone,
Kath, the reiki room sounds really neat, and it's always good to be doing things with your family!

Keltikmystique- I hear ya on the allergies! try being allergic to trees in Ontario... we've got them all around! I keep the local drugstores in business.

I just spent a wicked weekend at Brownie camp, not quite sure what they call the brownie equivalent in the states, but they're one step younger than girl scouts.  About 8 yrs old.  Lots of the leaders there are very good friends of mine, and three of them in particular are very intuned to energies... All weekend long I was blessed with just the right kind of hugs, or just the right ammount of space, just when I needed it the most, it was fantastic! I feel really good right now.  Later on today my girlfriend might be coming down to visit, and meet my mom for the first time.  I miss her tonnes already, so I look forward to that!
In the mean time, gotta go retrieve my cuppa, the pot's almost ready, then take a shower and clean up around here a bit.  Oh and taffy says before all that she would like a walk... sorry dog, the coffee comes first!
Love and Hugs
Kathartica

I'm not crazy, it's just that I enjoy talking to the trees and singing to the moon...

Good Morning ODSS

Sounds like you had fun with your daughter Kath....awesome.   Smile    Have fun with your friend while she is here.  Sounds like it will be a magical time for you.  Enjoy your new Reiki room.   Smile

Keltickmystique, I hear you about being lazy this last weekend.  Same here!!  lol  Still haven't gone to get more boxes, I really gotta get on that!  lol  Down to 9 days and counting now....

AliceJ, that is awesome that you daughter and boyfriend are going into ritual and learning from you.  So special.  My daughter is a witch too, but her fiancee is not.  Boy, some of the looks he gives us sometimes, it is actually pretty hilarious.  I remember I gave him a crystal to help him with an issue, he looked at it like it was something from space...and then...."and you want me to do what with this?"  LOL   funny.

Kat, I bet brownie camp was fun!!!  I love camping.  I am in Ontario too!  Yes lots of allegies floating around.

Brightest Blessings everyone

Hi everyone.

Sounds like everyone had a lovely weekend.  Its wonderful to have a lazy one sometimes as well.

I was roped into cooking with the prep kids for the mothers day morning tea coming up.  It is going to be some fun, cooking  with twenty - two five year olds.  This is going to be so much fun.  I have been very much enjoying the time I spend in my little ones class.

Have done some wonderful baking yesterday for the family - fruit cake, carrot cake and choc/rasberry muffins.  Should keep the worms at bay for a couple of days.

We have Brownies here as well Kat, good for you doing the camping thing with them.

AliceJ it is a lovely feeling when you have the family join in.  I understand what you mean about your daughters fiancee Aleea, I love some of the looks they get.  I am so lucky that my partner is interested in the same things as I am and he joins in with me with the meditations I do and crystal work etc.  Makes a nice bond.

Sounds like everyone had a nice weekend.  I, too, was quite lazy, but not without the household chores...yuck!

Kath, you are very lucky to have a partner that is "in it" with you.  Sometimes its hard to do what I feel I need to do with my husband. Even though he is aware of my "practice", I know he silently disapproves and I don't want to feel self-conscious.  I have to wait until he is at work to do any ritual work which can sometimes disturb my timing.  At least the intention is there...lol.

Things are heating up here in S TX.  it got up in the high 80s today and its still almost 80 now at 8:30pm.  Gotta love that humidity, too.   (window)

Good day to you all.

Seamonster I know what you mean about the humidity thing.  We don't have it at this time of the year, but did have some wonderful days of it through summer.

My flowers are coming along, and we will have some wonderful colour happening through the later part of winter and spring.

Had my morning at the prep school and learnt some more sign language.

Caught up with a girlfriend for a coffee this morning as well.  She is a nurse and we catch up when we can.  She does a wonderful job and I have the utmost respect for her and those in her profession.  We always have a great catch up, and this morning was a wonderful one.

My oldest is doing really well with his apprentership, he passed the papers he sat yesterday so he is in the right direction for his first year.  He is making a dinning table for his project, can't wait to see it when he gets it done ( he has twelve months to complete it).

My daughter that moved to her dads rang last night to have a grip over eating frozen veg and meat pies for tea.  I was very calm and reminded her that was her choice and she could change it anytime she wanted.  It seems the novilty is wearing off sooner than I thought.

I am still on the count down for my Reiki.

Blessings to you all

GOOD MORNING CUPPA CLAN!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys! Yup I'm still alive and kickin, just seems life kicks harder now and again.

Was without my cable/phone/internet for a few days. Boy are people spoiled! Hubby was the worst! LOL Couldn't get online to check out for sales, and to check out his cars! LOL Big kid.

Have had a few other issues, that seem to have mellowed for a spell I hope.

Have now been at the new job for a year, so guess I can't keep calling it the new job huh, LOL. Have a new Admin so I guess I get to politely ask her when she's gonna do my evaluation, hey I deserve my raise! LOL

Spent the weekend getting a few things planted outside, now have to plant a couple inside. Found this cool hanging pot made in Italy at a sale. Has the holes in the rim and you thread a hanger thru that, but the cool part is the pattern on the bottom so when it hangs you have something to look at. I'm going to plant parsley and chives in it and have it hanging over the kitchen sink, so maybe this year I'll use them more.

Move some of the over crowded hosta and spiderwort under the tree by my bedroom window. It is a wild plum which is now coming into full bloom, so with the windows open it makes my room smell so sweet!

Got my oldest moved, again, into her own apartment last week. She has an empty apartment and is the happiest camper cause it's all hers and Bailey's. Gonna have to get a new piccie of her she's getting to be such a big girl now! 4 months today. I just have to get Momma to work on letting her plop on the floor more4 to work on body strength cause she  so wants to sit up, but need practice shich is hard to get in swings, and bouncers.

Hubbies busy driving me crazy already about vacation this JULY, end of it even. What car are we gonna rent? How many rooms are we gonna have to stay in? What to take? And they say women are anal about these things! Sheesh.

Congrats on the new wee one Kath! One day when they're old enough they'll hopelfull be a part of your life. Hope the visist from the friend is as awesome as it sounds.

I need to pull out my new book I got on Reiki and actuall start using it. Master attuned, lol, just don't put it to use. I know shame on me!

Hi everyone.

Good to see you drop in Novia, and I know what you mean about using the Reiki, I smotimes go through stages of not using mine.  Time has gone by so fast for the growth for your baby as well  4 mths.

Well I got the phone call last night from the ex.  It has only taken 2 and a bit weeks to want her back with us.  He has this time told her it is not working for him and she needs to go home to mum.  He says it is too hard; causing stress with him and his lady; inconvenient; she is hormonal ( hellooooo she is 13 almost 14 gonna be that way for a while yet); can't do the things he was use to doing in his own life; trouble working overtime as she is home alone; don't know if she is doing homework etc; doesn't like to cook for her.  The list goes on.  We are happy to have her back, although there are going to be some ground rules put down before she does come back.  And I said a huge "I TOLD U SO" to the ex, as we did try to help hime see that it is not all as easy as he thought.  And secondly maybe his lady should have kept her mouth shut with the 'I'm your friend you can count on me, and I'll tell you your rights' bit, if I were him and she didn't want my daughter around it would make me take a long hard look at her in my life.  Anyway my girl is coming home.  This makes us happy, a bit apprehensive for what her attitude will be when coming back.  But play it as it comes as we have always done.  The old green grass on the other side was very crunchy brown.  The sad part of it all is that a 13 year old girl just found out the hard way that her dad doesn't want her, and that broke my heart for her.

Well I am off for a look around, and then to have a shower and get ready for my Reiki Master to arrive.  I may not be on for a few days with all that is happening, so be safe and happy everyone.

Love to you all,

Kath

Kath, I feel for your situation.  It is so hard on young'uns when one parent puts them off like that.  It must really be a bummer for her.  She will probably have to deal with a few self-esteem issues because of it.  I don't know your baby, but many teens in this situation act out from the fear of abandonment.  She may fear that you may do the same, and you may need to "gain her trust" in a way.  Or she may go completely the other direction and bond to you more closely as a means to feel that parental affection.  I'm with you about the ex's woman.  I guess its a "mothering" instinct, but, you'd think a man would also be more careful about a woman who didn't give a **** about his kid.  Of course, this woman must never have been a teenager to understand anything about attitude and hormonal issues.   Sad thing about it is that if she turns out a complete wreck, it's all your fault, and if she turns out highly successful, then he thinks he's the wind beneath her wings.
It's nice, though, that you get your daughter back, and it sounds like you know exactly what's up with her.  You're a good mom!

Had a bad/sorta interesting thing happen today.  This morning a bird sh** on my windshield.   Confused My reaction was, "Why, out of all the cars on this blasted freeway did that D***ed bird have to target mine?"  I went to school and forgot all about it (until I got back into my car to go home.)
On my way home, I had a yucky blow-out on the I-45, which I couldn't afford and which put me out of sorts (it was nearly 90* outside!) However, I was able to pull off the freeway and into a street that had an "enterprise rental car" place.  They helped me change my tire, but the donut was the wrong size for my car, so they drove me across the freeway to a discount tire store where I had to buy a good used tire to get home on.  (Ugh!)  When I finally got back to my car and got back in, there was that bird sheit staring me in the eye--in the shape of a blown out tire!!
