Hello Ravenspagan,

The information for loading pictures is here: http://www.paganliving.org/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=2980

We can't actually load pictures directly to the site, but you can load them on to an online photofiler like Flickr and link th eurl from that site to this one to display pictures.  I know---it's a bit of trouble, but it's what we do.

I've not hand made my altars.  Actually, my fireplace and my fireplace hearth are my altars.  Your altar sounds beautiful; I hope you can get the pictures loaded.

I like photobucket, it's pretty straightforward and easy.  I too would like to see it.

Mines not handmade, but is a rectangular hip high table that belonged to my mother in law. Need to strip it and repaint it though. has two shelves that I hubby built for me to put things on, and I found four white canvas bins that hold things nicely out of view of the public.

I would love to see a pitcure as well!!
Mine is portable, I found a huge pile of dumped pieces of all different marble (probably meant for countertops) and am gonna make a walkway out of all the other pieces except for the one I chose to be my alter, I keep it on top of an entertainment center in my room which holds all other stuff displayed and some hidden, I keep a silk cloth over it......

I will love the light, for it shows me the way, yet, I will endure the darkness, for it shows me the stars!

i am currently without a permanent altar. but i had this old family antique chest with this pull out top tray. when i saw it i knew it would be perfect for storing all my "gear"! and it's pretty so i keep it out in my living room with a big pillow on it (for my kitties to lounge on!). when i need to get in there, i have my books in the bottom with my holders, candles, incense, whatnot..., i just take out what i need, close the lid and voila!~i have an altar!

That sounds like a great idea, RayvenneStar.  I keep a small box at work and use it as a mobile altar.
