Police: Drugs sold door-to-door

This happened here in Monroe, LA where I live...what was this guy thinking?

A man accused of selling marijuana door-to-door at Parkview Apartments in Monroe has been arrested on multiple charges after investigators discovered he had outstanding warrants out for his arrest.
Preston Collins, 22, 401 Richwood Road No. 2, Monroe, was charged Tuesday with resisting an officer, aggravated damage to property, possession of marijuana, and on warrants for attempted second-degree murder, fugitive from justice, and for a parole violation.

According to the arrest report, Ouachita Parish sheriff's deputies went to the Parkview Apartments, where the suspect lived, after they were told he was walking door-to-door selling marijuana. When deputies located Collins, he ran away, attempting to jump a police car at one point, but was detained and arrested.

He was booked into Ouachita Correctional Center. Bail is set at $46,5000.

What does door-to-door dope peddling look like?

"Hi, I'm from the Monroe Pot Stop. How are you today? What a lovely home you have here. Would you like to try one of our new designer dopes such as the Maui Wowie or the Ouachita Walkabout? We're running a special on our off-spec 'seeds and stems'.

Or, how about this:

"Look, I'm giving you an opportunity to get in on the ground floor. All you have to do is get five people under you selling dope and they in turn get five people selling dope under them. The residual income potential is staggering! You play your cards right and I can see YOU in a Crown Vic with dubs all around inside of a month. Come to this meeting we're having tomorrow night to find out more.?

I see nothing wrong with smoking a little herb now and then, but selling it door to door is just plain-ass nuts.

I once had a couple come to my door to try to sell me perscription drugs.  It looked like a poor hispanic couple targeting the hispanic community in my neighborhood.  I pretended to not speak Spanish and they went away.  I have often wondered since then if I should have called the police, but I figured anyone thinking that the stuff these people were selling was legit...

Still the door-to-door pot is great.

Still it's pot.  Shouldn't the police be looking for dangerous criminals?  like murders, bank robbers, and rapists?

Got a ticket last night for a headlight being out.  Still pissed about that.  Oh well, I'll show my recite to the judge for my new headlight, maybe he'll let me off.

Know those apartments well. Used to do my work there before noon before the idiots got up. Usually plenty of broken beer and whiskey bottles in the parking lots, and back then plenty of shell casings from the night before.

Guess he figured, the Girls Scouts had the cookies covered, and Swans has the frozen foods locked up as well, so why not branch out into the recreational drug arena. No competions he knew of. Who knows, if he'da hit the right place, he coulda made a killin'!

We actually sell a Maui flavored blunt wrap at the store.  Does wrapping your dope in a designer paper make it designer dope?  Reminds me of one time a guy came into the store to buy something.  He either needed his card or change (forget which) so he reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a huge hand full of assorted odds and ends, loose change, a button or two, scraps of paper, nickel baggie of pot...  he stood there pawing through this handful of stuff for a minute before he realized his weed was in full view.  He swore and hastily shoved it back in his pocket then gave me an embarrassed grin.

I told him "I didn't see a thing.  But you might want to be a bit more careful, Tyrone's finest hang out in here most of the night."

I really don't think pot should be illegal but it's not my choice.  I mean hell if we allow alcohol and tobacco why not a little weed?  Have you ever heard of anyone dying because of weed?  How about because of cigarettes?  And if people want to put stupid shit in their own bodies at home why should the government give a damn.  So long as they stay home and don't put anyone in danger I couldn't care less.  But that's just me.

Normally I would agree with Indigo Faerie about police going after more dangerous criminals except that this guy was wanted for attempted second degree murder as well, according to the post.  Definitely not minding that this guy is off the streets, aside from the whole stupid thing in general!

Although I am a firm believer in fixing stupid.  That's why I'm working on becoming a teacher

Oops, I had a blond moment. I thought this was a post about a Policeman selling dope door-to-door. What was I thinking!   Unfortunantly, that wouldnt surprise me if it actually happened.

hey you gotta admire his industrious attitude.....he wasn't sitting around waiting for customers to find him.....no siree he got right out there and stirred up interest in his product, even got himself invited to address a government officer on the subject. I bet his momma is really proud.
