Hi everyone!

Well, with the 4th of July in the States, I have a much needed 3 days off. �This is how I know I am a total geek--for my vacation reading, I have checked out an audiobook of the Merchant of Venice to listen to and A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking and the reader's companion book for it to read. �I've been trying to listen to the audiobook version while working, but  it has pretty much become background noise of some ridiculously intelligent guy with a British accent lecturing me, without any information sinking in. �So, I'm going to sit back with a bottle of wine and Mr. Hawking for my 3 day vacation because I'm pretty sure I will be able to understand the subtlties of the Universe a bit more easily when I am half inebriated. �I have a couple of trashy fiction books to fill in when my brain gets fried.

Since we have a couple of votes, I'm also going to read a bit more to prepare for our book club. �Okay, I admit, I was going to read the stuff any way, but at least now I have a semi-social reason to do it. �I was thinking about starting with The Greatest Secret, so I've been digging into Theosophy and the New Thought movement. �I'll hopefully have some stuff by Monday so that we can all share our thoughts. �I think the book provides a good beginning for why magic works in general, and I am really looking foward to sharing opinions and ideas with everyone who wants to participate. �

Since Mr. K is OFF tomorrow  (boing) , we thought about driving into Kemah and seeing what sort of coolness is going on there.  He'll be driving, so I will indulge wholeheartedly in Margueritaville.   Its really time for the two of us to get out together and do something.  Things have been so tight that this will be a blessed time for our relationship.   I don't even care if it rains.  Besides, water is such a great element to be in touch with.

I have Finally been reading Starhawk's "The Spiral Dance" and am totally engrossed.  I have a great many other cool books on my reading list and some waiting in my sofaside basket.  The only good thing about all this extra time on my hands is the reading.  I have nothing better to do than to try to improve my mind and my spirituality!  I've learned a LOT this summer!

Yay for trashy fiction!  It's a savior when I threaten to fry my brain with my anatomy textbook.  Seems like an aweful lot of brain pain, for something that's partially been coming to me naturally.  I read people's reactions though, to see what hurts, what's feeling good, what needs work, I have to learn the muscles, and learn to read what the actual muscles are telling me, not just how people behave.  In massage I think I've finally found my spot... I like to make people feel good, and feel good about themselves.  I can pour an aweful lot of love through my hands, and I think as much as the actual muscle manipulations, everyone needs a good dose of that.  
Speaking of massage I need to give my therapist a call... my neck is so stiff and sore! and spreading down one shoulder now... Oh well, at least I'm off tomorrow
Ready to kill a few jabbering idiots at work... but then again, what do I expect working at walmart? still, anybody know of a good assassin?  
I'm all mushy and glowing on the inside at the moment though.  I'm going to a bridal shower on sunday, actually, my girlfriend and I are going together, (big step, she's not very open about us)  and we're giving a gift that's from Us.  I've never given a from us gift before, but somehow that seems to mark a certain seriousness in the relationship... and make me feel more grown up I guess... I don't know, I'm not sure what's got me so gooey over this simple thing, but it makes me happy.

Tyche!! Glad you finally got some rain. If I could I'd ship ya some of mine!! Hell the other night we got so much it took my poor son over two hours to make a 45 minute trip home due to encountering so much water on the roadways. Hubby and son have to work today because they had no power all day yesterday and could get nothing done, so the pooor truck drivers had to camp out all night there. Hope the power is back on today otherwise it'll be off to work tommorrow for them as well. WE had some nasty ass winds along with this one not to mention golf ball sized hail. I was watching this storm on radar and it just blew up on top of us. Didn't float in at all. Was to the eats to the NW and to the SW and just back filled to cover us up. I was standing in the front yard and hubby was on the porch. I was watching the clouds haul ass from the east and from the west and just abuot 2 seconds later all hell broke loose!! I bet we got 30-40 mph winds and nearly 4 inches of rain in about 20 minutes. �Oldest got home from work to find her basement level apartment flooded.

Stacey sounds like a fun thing to be doing althogh it oes sound like brainfry will be immenent!! Keep pleanty of alcoholic type fluids around to extinguish said smoldering brain however. I too find that helps put out the flames!!! �(fire)

I know what ya mean SM about al the books I sooo need to get some reading done. Migh take one or two on vacation with me to sit out in the middle of nowhere and read. Enjoy your visit to margueritaville!!! (Oh yeah and the alone time with Mr. K! �(kiss) (there's another smiley I woulda used but think little one's visit so I'll keep it pg-17 � �lol)

Kat I understand the need to for the assassin!! My oldest works at WM as well in ICS and she has scoliosis, and is a crew of 2, plus they have her unloading, plus pushing carts. The super spends more time in electronics with his wifey than working, and the asst. manager is an asshole. he hollers and berates the employees in the isles. I'm waiting to catch him again casue I'm gonna have a you are one lousy ass management person speech with him!!! She found out from another high ranker that one day he had taken her to the back and chewed her ass out with the doors open that she cuold got him written up for redflagging her!! Oh just wait he'll do it again and Jen knows what to do now.   She's worked there for nearly 4 years, and can run any department by herself, but they'll not give her a supervisor spot.

I actually have a 3 day weekend!! yeah me!! Haven't had one in over a year now! First hollyday I have off actually since I started the new job last may!!! I plan on getting some cleaning done!!! My house has been so neglected that the energies in here are stale stagnant and a tad icky for my liking!!! And oh look hbbies gotta work so I can smudge even some today!!! Now to just get oldest to leave me alone!! Will work in some of that me time as well, but strngley cleaning is what I wanna do!!! LOL I must be comeing down with something!!! Just want this place cleaned up before I leave for vacation, so i can come back to a better feeling home!

Well off to get me a cuppa since it finally finished gurgling in there LOL!!

Had so much I wanted to get done today... but I'm just not feeling good.  Slept in till 12:30 (!) and still feel tired all over.  I'm achy and kinda sucky feeling too.  throat's sore and nose is stuffy... I think it's gonna become a wrap up in blanket on the couch and watch movies kind of day.  Lots of tea, and lots of naps.  
Nov, glad you're all energized, wanna come clean my place when you're done? lmao!  it's fun to have days like that, you feel so good about yourself.

And ICS is nothing to sneeze at, it's one of the hardest jobs in the store,  I work cash, I don't think I could handle it back there.  tell her to keep her chin up, and remember that there's always higher ups that can be gone to and bitched at.  luckily management has a pretty high turnover in this company... we've had some real jerks ourselves.

That's the problem Kat, the higher ups done give a shit for the most part. The guy in charge has been ousted from other stores because after he gets them they go to shit. This KCK store (1151) is about the lowest on the ranking I belieive. hell their loss at inventory was astronomical!!! (Camreas in the back don't work, but shhhhh not supposed to know that, lol.)  She got one manager to hand her his keys to go out the back doors, which is a no-no and she made sure one of the other management team heard her rattling them, aka shaking the shit outta them, lol. Guess who gonna get in troubllllle lol. She's good like that!! They trust her with keys, but they ain't supposed to hand them keys to no associate, period! Hell alotta nights when she was in sporting goods, she hel four to five sets of them things for all the departments.

I keep telling her to stop busting her ass cause as long as she gets it all done they'll do nothing to help her get help. (She's got water, bleach and cleaners. While the boss dude has papergoods!) then they pull her to unload trucks cause they got no receiving, followed by two hours of carts if there's not a stockman, and then bitch if her departments aren't stocked!

They are in the midst of building a new supercenter a little further out. I hope they 'clean house' before they move out there!

I hope you get to feeling better luv! And spending the day snuzzled up with a kivver and a book don't sound bad either!!!

but yes, it is the perfect day for a kivver and a book.  And V for Vendetta is an awesome movie for anyone in a mood for some good cinematography with an actual good plot.

 I'm glad to see everyone is doing good.  Except for you Kat.  I hope you get to feeling better.  I went to Bentonville today to watch Jon in his comepition.  He didn't place so needless to say he is bummed about it.  But I told him it does not matter if he placed but that he tried was the most important thing.  I spent some time with my mom, sister, and her husband.  I am now sitting here.  I ate my fourth of July meal.  Some fried chicken and sweet rolls.  I'm going to stay home and cuddle up with Sage, Patches, and Whiskers and watch the fireworks on TV.  I'm then going to go to bed because I really didn't get sleep last night.  Oh by the way Novia you are more than welcome to come to my house and help me clean it.  Trust me I did a little depression shopping yesterday on cleaning supplies and I spent a little over $190 on cleaning stuff.  So now when I get my house done I have enough left over to clean the whole neighborhood     Oh well at least I won't have to buy cleaning supplies for like a year.  But anyhow I am going to get ready to watch the fireworks.  I hope everyone has a great 4th be it reading a book or in marquarita ville.  Just remember be safe.  May the road rise to meet each and every one of you.
