Kat, I am so sorry to hear about Mack and will most def be sending energies to both of you. You did nothing wrong sweetheart. As much as I know you don't want to believe it, believe it. When it comes to dogs that have even mild agressive tendancies, adn they are set to go out for adoption, all things have to be considered, and at some point in time he will have come into a dog with a new family and if it was a little one, well, it could have turned out far worse.

SM, I hear ya about rush hour, and with all the light not working, I'd be a crankbutt as well!!! Be careful with the mold issue, cause if ya got allergies to it, ya could well end up in the hospital! nothing to play with, that mold.

I took off today and went for a drive to get away from people as this has been a long stressful week. I went ut to the county lake where we always go, and I had a new friend cross my path. A bobcat. he was purty!!! Bobcat crossed my path tday I wonder what he has to say!

Gracious I had to turn a few stones to dig this one up again!

Seems that all of us are alot like the squirrels (not over running churches!) getting into the swing of the new season.

It is so hard to believe that fall has fallen into our laps, and that summer has merrily skipped off into the ever gorgeous sunset!

sitting here 'enjoying', using the term loosley, breakie and a cuppa. @ day old leftovers, and not so sure the coffee isn't as old!   Ok, pitched that coffee and made a short pot! thought hubby had made cofffe this morning, but I was wrong! At least the jams are good! (Boulder radio of course! (boogie) )

As if waking up from having the wildest sex I've had, with the worst enemy I got wasn't a bad enough, well sorta , way to start a morning! Follow that up with old cold coffee!!!

I'm going to burst my childrens bubbles and let them know that this weekend is a kid free time!  Ok I have to deal with son, he lives here. I think youngest will be off, so she'll be gone, will only bother the oldest! you know we do need time without our kids!sheesh they range from 24 to 16 they can fend!

I hear ya on the cold, old coffee... little bro was trying to suck up to me to get me to help him study for this big test he's got tomorrow... poured out a cup from THREE DAYS AGO and warmed it up in the microwave... NOT the way to win this girl over!! It was sludge...

I'm a little bummed that I'm missing a camp this weekend, you know how I do love those... but I'm missing it to get my first aid course, which means I can take a more meaningful role in the camps I do go to... seems like a fair deal to me.  Stupid girl guide rules now say that to be a volunteer, leader or staff member at girlguide camp you must have your first aid.  It used to be enough for one person on the site to have it!  This summer I had to have a most annoying 16 yr old shadow follow me everywhere I went, because even though I'm more than capable of running programs myself, this kid had her first aid, so I couldn't go without her. Besides, the camp I'm missing this weekend is Brownies... I think I can deal with not having noses wiped on me thanks!

I'm trying to decide whether I should go downstairs and make myself a pot or try sticking to tea today... I've got a theory that it's coffee that's making my tummy all upset in the mornings...(no, I'm not pregnant lol)  And really, I don't like that theory, but I also don't like having to run to the toilet every 10 minutes!   If no coffee helps...

I feel like I need to go down to the shelter today, sort of show everyone I'm gonna be ok, gonna keep volunteering, that it's not Mack (or the lack of mack) keeping me away.  but really, I've got no car today, it takes me an hour to walk there, and there's only about 3 dogs for me to look after... then an hour long walk back home... Not today.

I've been trying to work on my writing a bit lately... really I should just give it up, the characters I'm trying to write keep morphing and becoming people I know in my real life, or me, and that doesn't work for me.  I handed one short story to a friend of mine and got the response of "well if I had never met you I might be able to sit back and enjoy the story, but I see the exact same people you do, and that's distracting" grr... back to the drawing board!

Gonna attack the recipe section in full force and bake up a storm today I think... now that I have a subscription!!  (bounce)

I have myself a nice hot cuppa fresh made java just an hour ago.  As of this morning, I've been unemployed for one full week.  My final check from the company is due tomorrow.  There isn't anything out there right now for someone with my skill set.  Hard to sell something to people in an economy where no one is buying anything.

I've been keeping tabs on the company I used to work for through a blog.  Standard and Poor's put them on a credit watch with negative implications yesterday.  Appears Wall Street is viewing them now as a potential credit risk, even with the Christmas season approaching.  I have to agree that having been in the ad sales trenches until a week ago, the forcast was dismal at best.  

So today I have to make a few calls to the DWD to find out what the benefits letter meant that if I postpone my first clain till the start of the 4th quarter I'm estimated to get a higher weekly benefit.  I don't get how they calculate this, but whatever.  If it's more money to try to eek out an existance on while looking for work, that is a plus in my book.

Sorry to be writing a novel here.  Guess I just needed to get it out somewhere.

Yes, it certainly is crazy energies out there....in here....everywhere!  I am sorry to hear about your loss of job Earthmother...that seems to be everywhere these days too.  So many people are having such a hard time financially right now....scarey!  But they say that when one door closes....hoping something that you absolutely love will come your way with much prosperity attached!!

The spa is pretty dead right now as well.  So am on a 'frugal' income....sigh...feast or famine seems to be my life....I did buy a lotto ticket...hey, maybe I won!!  lol Wouldn't that be sweet!!  

Hope eveyone is enjoying the fall weather....I love beautiful fall days, not so much the rainy cold ones...it reminds me of what's coming.....brrrrrr.

*heavy breathing*  Whew!  I made it!  The motherboard in my d*&^ed computer went tits up on the 30th and I have been without my baby all that time till just about a half hour ago.  I near went nuts!!!  (dee) I don't have real live people friends, so there wasn't much to do outside; read all my books...again; cleaned house a few times; checked the email on my phone every five minutes; watched WAAAAY too much TV, (which I can't stand), spent all my money on stress shopping and stared at many a wall.  This is what happens when you take the machine from the addict, I guess.  *sigh*.  Apart from that, all is well.  

EarthMother, I hope everything goes well with your job search, and like Aleea says, gain one that is just right for you with lots of perks.

I can't tell you why but I find that really grounding.  Go clockwise, help your internal systems do their jobs while you're at it

as for me, I'm spending this weekend doing my first aid course... what a pain in the neck... I have to admit I really like the instructor, he's really knowledgeable and easy to listen to as well, but really I know most of the things they're teaching me already, and it's hard for me to sit still for 8 hrs... you feel really restless, and yet at the same time it's so draining and when you've finally got the time to move around all you want is a nap.  I might bring my knitting along tomorrow... give me something to work on. I'm always better when I can keep my hands busy.  Everyone's gone to the trailer for the weekend, so tonight I've got the whole house to my lonesome, just me and my pup... If I didn't have to be up and spry and chipper in the morning I might  just blast some music or watche a movie and have myself a glass or two of my favorite beverage... oh well... tea will have to do!

Nanowrimo is (clearing throat, deepening voice), "National Novel Writing Month".  I think the website is nanowrimo.org...I think.  Anyhow, during the 30 days of Nov. you are in a mad dash to write 50,000 words.  I actually did it year before last, but had a tough time finding the time to finish last year.  Its fun if you can find the time to do it.  It sort of gets your juices flowing and gets you past the inner critic so that you can just write.  (edit afterwards.)  Try it.

I have very few IRL friends either.  Well locally at least.  My two best friends actually live between 200 and 400 miles away from me and we do get together as often as we can, but you know how life and kids and jobs (or now lack there of) gets in the way.  

Right now,my friend Christine's SO is undergoing blockage removal from both right and left carated arteries in his neck.  Because cell phones have to be turned off in a hospital, I can reach her t get an update.


Had an innitial phone interview Friday for an office manager position.  Will find out Monday if they want a further face to face interview.  Small CPA office, but I've been the office manager of a radio station in the past, so I'm not unfamiliar with the needs of an office.

The interviewer even agreed that they could increase the starting wage since he asked why I would want to take a few steps bacward in my career path.  I explained that I knew full well when making the determination that I wanted to get out of the field of commissioned sales I would need to take a wage cut.  But I wouldn't be able to go any lower than $$$ per year.  It was only 1.50 an hour over what they were stating was their top dollar, and was within doability for them for someone with my skills and experience.

Lets see if they opt for the greenhorn that will be less payroll, or the seasoned person who can truely help the business.

Anyway...backing away from the keyboard again.  Just got to take it one day at a time and stay centered.

Hi everyone, I am most remiss in that I do not visit this site as often as I might. Lately, I have been very tied up in a human rights/political deal to do with proper treatment of gender-variant people of all sorts. It has been taking up for too much of my time, I'm afraid.

Here in New Zealand, we have just celebrated Ostara, and Beltane is just down the road a piece!.
We had a dawn ritual at Stonehenge Aotearoa (if you want to have a look, it's at http://www.astronomynz.org.nz/stonehenge/). Although of quite recent origin, the place has acquired great energy over its short life, and the atmosphere there is always good.
Only 20 of us at the ritual, but I find that if they get much bigger than that, something seems lost.
Anyway, it was a great morning, and after the ritual we all adjourned to a nearby cafe for breakfast together.....awesome!
You guys would have loved it!.

Busy planning for Beltane now....that's always a joyous time....Maypoles, balefires, drumming and lots of socialising......woooooo hooooo!
Golly...anyone would think I was Wiccan....hee hee heeeeeeeeeeeee......!!!

Gonna pick me up a couple goodies, maybe a new pair of feather earrings. � Wish I could find a good sinus tea recipe before I leave, so I can pick up some of what I need, if I need. just gonna have a good time, and leaving the phone at home! �

Have had a rough weekend what with my foot being all wrapped up and having to wear a tie shoe at all times, yeah right, even to tinkle at 2 in the morning, I don't flippin think so. had a major case of the itchies attack, keep getting blobs of red spots that itch like hell. the other night my ring finger felt like fire, and swelled up so bad I barely got my weding/anniversary band off. Finally got them back on this morning. All day yesterday it felt like it had been burnt, very tender, even under water. Stilll puffy, adn a bit tender, no clue. no bite marks of any type. I did start taking a b complex vitamin, so gonna stop taking it and see if things get better. �On top of that that loverly time of the month rolled around on top of it all, and well, i've just not been a happy girl this weekend! �

In a couple weeks hubby and I are heading up to spend the weekend in Omaha, and spend all day Satruday (18/19) at the Zoo.

Faire sucked!!! � �My buddy didn't come down, gas prices and school I guess, prices uotrageous, and energy just not the same for some reason this year. �hubbies turkey leg even didn't help him, not to mention it cost $6.00!!! and was the oldest bird in the flock I bet! �

Did buy me another hyponsphere. A concrete ball inlaid with colored glass and mirrors. you hang it outside and the sun beams off it in the patterns of the glass and mirrors. have one outside my kitchen window drives kitty nutty with all the dots of light to chase!! �

Went into a couple of the herb/oil shops and just so did not like the enrgy in there and had to leave. so not faire! (no pun intended!) Feather shop wasn't even there this year!!!
