So, I was going to visit a friend in Homer the other day and I have to drive though the country, I noticed how pretty the changing leaves were, late in the evening the sun touching the top of the trees.
It reminded me how when i lived in the country and I would take a blanket and  my BOS  and write for hours and hours... I miss it so much I really don't like living in town other than being so close to stores and work.

pretty changing leaves still? I wanna live where you do! way up here most of the trees are bare already, and the few stubborn leaves clinging to their branches are pretty monochromatic brown...

I'm not crazy, it's just that I enjoy talking to the trees and singing to the moon...

Here the leaves are only just starting to change.  Smile

Here in southern Indiana, most of the leaves are still on the trees, although this might be their last night.  I love this time of the year.  There is an exquisite feeling of exhilaration in the air.  One can definitely feel the Wheel turning.

Blessings.

In Massachusetts, tonight is rainy. I think this is the storm that ends fall and makes all the trees bare. It feels like it anyway.  A good chicken soup kind of night.

It's this time of year that I really miss being on the main land and the reason I could never live in Hawaii permanently. True, it's picture perfect here nearly every day and the ocean is beyond words...but the chill in the air, the leaves as they change from their brilliant greens to shades of red, gold and brown. Back home, fall is in the air and you know it. The changing of the seasons here is so subtle you don't really notice the wheel turning as you do on the mainland. This eternal summer can get a little BORING...

Blessings,
Gaia

Louisiana has 4 seasons: Spring, Late Spring, Summer, and Yule. We only have about 3-4 weeks of really "cold" weather. Where it dips into the 30's and sometimes even the 20's. Rather temperate and I have had plants surive the entire winter.

After living in Denver, I miss the snow - terribly. But really enjoy the beautiful Autumn season here. The trees are changing and the days are wonderful; 70's and sometimes lower 80s, at night in the 50 and 60s. The humidity isn't as horrible either.

Moonmyst, I'm in central new york, and it's rainy (but wierdly warm) here too.  Funny, I'm going to make chicken soup today!  All the leaves are down and the countryside is shades of brown, tan, and green with gray skies.  Would rather stay home and read than go to work, oh well.

I'm in New Jersey and the leaves are finally starting to change colors and fall from the trees.  It's so pretty here.

Ugh!  It was nice and nippy outside this morning, but by the afternoon it was sweaty and nasty.  I'm like you LE, I miss the snow.  I'm from Eastern WA state, and boy do I miss the snow.  We are going to try to get there for Xmas so I can see my kids.  Finances...

Yeah, most of our leaves are gone, but across the street way at the crown of this one tree, are leaves still a vibrant gold. We also got our first couple of inches of snow today! Came through last nite.

There's just nothing like the sight of gold and red leaves in the fall.  I've always wanted to see Vermont in the fall.  Don't know why, just have.   Smile

Here in Ontario most of the leaves are gone, leaving the barren starkly beautiful shapes of the tree trunks.  It is grey and chilly outside today.  On my way to work today I did see one tree....in amongst all the others that was a brilliant yellow...so beautiful....I did not have my camera with me...darn it!!  lol  Woulda been an awesome shot!
