As most of you know I make all the stick incense for Coventry Creations.

How do any of you feel about me beginning a personal line of Incense Sticks to market here?

Any ideas of what scents or blends would be best? A possible name for the Line?

I wouldn't go out of my way for packaging, a plastic bag with a label, and about 20 sticks in a bag. And the magical attributes. I don't think I would do more than 12 scents to begin with...and see how they do.

Just throwing it out there....I am just trying to see if ya'll would be interested....I wouldn't be charging alot for  them either....probably about 3.00 a package.

ANy ideas on fragrances? Name for the line??

I was thinking along the lines of an "Magickal Elven" line....but hey...that's just a thought.

I like "Magickal Elven" as a name.  The thought that comes to my mind: "Castle Incense". (Perhaps its a bit generic, though.)  For one of them, I think I would like to see something nice to meditate by, soft but powerful.  Maybe even something that crosses that astral travel line.  

Elaine's Incense.   Simple and to the point   As far as smell.  I like floral and spicy just my suggestion though.

Let's start with 12 scents- I can create them given the ideas that you all provide....and I can let each person name it as well...so think of names as you list your fragrance types.....this could be loads of fun let's make this a community venture!! The best things are created by like-minded individuals..... (friends).

So help me create an Incense line that not only resembles who we are as a group, but is magickal in every way!

I do like both "Magickal Elven Incense" and "Lady Elaine's Incense"....any more suggestions?

I don't know what smell I'm looking for exactly but something mild and light... not too heady or heavy... unfortunately allergies stop me from using most incenses that are too strong or musky or anything... maybe something fruity?

I think the name  you picked is perfect. Scent wise I am a big Vanilla fan myself. I find it very relaxing.

You'lll have to do different blends than what you do for Coventry won't you?

How about taking some of your oil blends and making them into incense?

I was going to suggest something like the astral travel, too.  I do love an earthy essence with maybe a little touch of lavendar or some other light floral.. rose even.

The names of the scents can change.....I think I am going with "Elaine's Elven Incense" as the name of the Line....I really like that....

Novia I like the suggestion of incorporating my scents into the products...and no I can't use Coventry's they are copyrighted ....they mean too much to me to even dare copy one of their scents. Besides, I want these to be original and intiguing....love the elemental idea...maybe naming them after the elementals they represent?

I have always liked the smell of cinnamon. To me it is a very calming scent. I also like the lavender idea as well.

Could you do Cedar, sandalwood or lemongrass?   Those are my favorites.

Okay, after having a "smokie-treat" I have new ideas to throw out there:

Name of the Incense Line   "Swamp Witch Sticks"

Have botanicals with 10 in each package. You purchase what you need for the spell you are using.

For instance you want "Love":

Rose, Sandalwood, Lavender and Bergamot.

These would be packages you could purchase including directions for use. Each botanical would have its magickal atrributes and possible uses on it.

OR

Spell-kits = You could buy a "Love" Spell Kit  with 3 sticks each of these botanical, including a candle to burn while working the spell. Time of day, which day and chant would be included.

On the individual botanicals, the scent would have listed its attributes, and what it could be used for. so if you desire something very personal you could look at each scent and choose which works for you.

Hey go for Lady E. I can't think of any names but one scent comes to mind... Epona?! But you know how I feel about that.

I think I would go with option 1 personally that way you can use which ones you need because you never know. The "love" might have the things you need but that isn't your intention.   So I vote Option !
