My afternoon coffee.  I'm on vacation.

Gingerbread Spiced Tea.  Yum!  

Ok, now I got a 4 cup cup, lol.

Take 3 spoons of mocha cappucino, a smidge of Italian sweet cream creamer, sugar to taste, fill with plain ol coffee! You have yourself one killer creamy chocolate coffee. (Toss in a slice of Panera Holiday bread and it's a swonderful breakie! )

I found a cocoa and chili pepper recipe and tried it.  It was pretty good. Besides the peppers giving it a kick, it had a unique taste to it.

Hot steaming coffee....with hazelnut biscotti creamer....YUMMY....

Ooh, LE, I'm jealous...I'm drinking coffee with powdered creamer and brown sugar (because I'm out of sugar and I'm too lazy to go to the store right now... )

I'm drinking a homemade recipe for a sore throat...

Spiced apple tea
1 shot of vodka
3 tablespoons of honey

The heat of the tea and the vodka burn off any irritants in the throat and the honey soothes the throat.

Thank you, CO.  I'm going to have to try that one.  We've already had a rough time this winter.

The original recipe from my grandfather uses rum but I find the vodka to be easier to tolerate.

We had much the same recipe, only using brandy.

Another one without tea was

1 shot lemon juice
1/2 shot brandy
2 Tbs honey
Boiling water to fill the mug.

Sore throats or sipped down right before a choir concert or other vocal performance was routine.

Opened the sinuses and the throat for full clarity of sound.

I'm drinking the "Nighttime Tea" (from my Kitchen Grimoire V. 1--thank you, LE!)  I always have a tough time getting back to sleep in time for work on Monday morning.  I had to tweak the recipe, though, as I was missing one ingredient, but I subbed with one suitable for sedation.    (I don't want to type the recipe here without permission.)
