Ok, I just had to share this very unusual thing that has happened. One of my cats had a litter of kittens. She had 6. 2 white, 2 black and 2 brown. Anyways....my youngest fell in love with one of the brown ones. So we are keeping her. I let him name her and of all things he comes up with the name Freya. Now, he's in the 5th grade and he hasn't learned anything of mythology of any kind. I stumbled across one of Lady Elaine's post that had "HAPPY FREY-A DAY" in it and looked up the name. Turns out she was the Norse Goddess of Love, fertility and happiness and was the most beautiful of all the Goddessess. She's portrayed as having blonde hair and blue eyes.
Freya had blue eyes when she was born but they are now turning green. And she is the sweetest little kitten. She loves to be cuddled and she started purring before any of the rest of them did!!
Just thought I'd share this story with you.

I think so too. She's already recognizing her name. And his face when I told him what her name meant...that was wonderful.

How cool!  Kids seem to be more in tune with stuff than adults do.  I think its because we lose the wonder and fantasy of youth when we have to start "wearing the worries of the world".
