Does anyone make their own candles?  Do you prefer parafin, beeswax, or soy?  I dabble in making candles now and curious if should use a certain wax ect.

we use parafin wax for our 3oz. and half-pint scented votives. they burn for 14 hours!
i don't have any experience in other waxes, but i know soy candles are the current trend if you're trying to sell 'em.

i should clarify - the 3 oz. votives burn for 14 hours.

for magical purposes, i don't know what's considered better by general magical populus - but i bet the castle knows. search around you'll find a lot of information.

I use parafin and add about 1/2 oz beeswax makes then harder. soy wax is very soft and  soy has to be poured into something it is to soft to stand on it's own like parafin.
enjoy
