Well I was sitting at work lastngiht and as most of you know i work at a religion based hospital my main nurse is catholic I love her to death shes like a 2nt mom to me. Any way I was tlaking to her and I told her I was Wiccan and she said oh I know I have known since you started. I was like well i had been feeling guilty for not telling her I didnt know wat she would think about me but just like a mother she was very accepting of it. She said she knows lots and lots of people who work at this hospital who are Wiccan.  Made me feel better knowing I don't have to hide my books anymore. also a few of my friends at work know. I have actually helped her with a protection spell sevreal months ago.
sorry about the crappy spelling since time changed I have worked 13 hours and im on my 3rd day out of 5 days. I am so delerious but not tired. LOL

I am so happy for you! Being able to speak openly with someone who cares about you and your spirituality is something that will help you immennsely.

And wow...I didn't have any idea that there were that many Wiccans/Pagans in our area....they must be VERY quiet...because I personally only know of about 20....that's all...

If you do happen to hook with some of them, tell them about us....we do meet form time to time, and a few new faces would be absolutely stellar!

Remember to get some rest if you can, I know you work long hours, but even a cat-nap could help you....

 I wish I was as brave as you.  Only some of my friends know about my religious beliefs.

The freedom of coming out is so liberating. I applaud you on your courage. I am very open about my faith but sometimes it came at a painful price. I think more people should come out but I understand why people cant. In this world of free expression, I think it is sad that we still need to hide in the shadows. I hope people see your courage and get as inspired as I am. You give the rest of us the strength and hope to carry on.   With many Blessings and Love,

Good for you, Trinity.  

Personally, I don't see what the fuss is all about.  I think everyone should be open about their faith no matter what it is.  I am Christian and I have no problem accepting and respecting others for who they are, whatever their faith.  After all, I thought that's what it's all about.  

what a huge weight off your chest huh? Even just sticking my tippie toes out of the closet now and again feels so... well it's beyond words, but its' wonderful.

For most of us Amethyst our faith and beliefs are deep and well thought out, for many others they are skin deep only and brought out to show off or to fit in and at the worst level to bash or control others ....
These are the folks you don't want to tell ANYTHING. Unfortunately they tend to be good at hiding their true nature until it is too late.

The only thing I can say is that you have to be able to trust your own instincts, no matter how much I may want to trust someone if my heart says no there is always a good reason to listen.

I'm so happy for you Trinity!!! My coworkers know, but I'd never be able to tell my family. I'm sure once I have children, that will have to change and be a battle best faught on a different day. Just knowing that your co-worker knows and will still treat you the same offers a much needed booster to moral, especially working those hours!!!

Good for you! I am out of the broom closet with my boyfriend, family, and friends, but not necessarily with people at work or school. I once quit a job (from a company with a non-discrimination policy) because my co-workers and my manager were saying horrible things about a pagan woman who shopped there often (this woman was obviously unstable, she seemed out of it all the time, like she was on drugs, and she would try to return obviously used merchandise). They were talking about those pagan devil worshipers and how they were evil, and how the woman should have her kids taken away because she is a devil worshiper, how she's going to hell, etc. All the usual slanderous  comments. I couldn't even speak up about it, because it was everyone, including my boss. I was outnumbered. Luckily, my shift was over in about 15 minutes, but I quit without notice the next day. I never said why.
It's good to have co-workers that know that are supportive. I know it's very difficult to tell people. I'm glad for you.
