Crying or Very sad Oh SM, I am so terribly sorry for what you are going through right now.  I may not know you all that well, b ut I add my name to the list of folks who is more than happy for you to email if you wish to chat.  From what I have had the pleasure to see of you on this forum, you are warm, funny, gifted and a truly wonderful soul...any man should think themselves lucky to have you in their life.  What he said about not being good enough to mother his children....complete reverse.  He is not fit to be the father of yours!

Sad I sadly have to say you are now the 3rd online woman I know who had the exact problem of marrying a man from OS (one other was from Egyptian, the other Indian), and then having this stuff happen once their citizenship is secure.  Too bad there is no way to report them to immigration and have them sent packing.

I send you love, laughter and hugs my new friend.  Again, anything at all I can do for you, please do not hesitate to ask!!

A

This is something I just thought about.  If they had a way to report what I'm going to call "Citizenship Abuse" how would they go about doing that? Just because it could look like the person's spouse has used them to gain citizenship, but the timing just fell when their citizenship cleared.

I'm by no means saying everyone from OS would do this.

That leads me to another thing. Why does it seem like it's the males from OS that do this? Almost any female from OS, unless it's a bad relationship seems pretty content then again it could just be a different thought process going on.

Sea, you are woman hear you roar, I think you will be having a blast once you're out from under Mr. K. It's also good to hear that you have a game plan. Who knows maybe when you go back home you'll be able to meet the "right" person for you. That could just be the hopeless romantic talking so just ignore her if you like.

*hugs,coffee,and a big cinnamon roll*

Oh SeaMonster, I'm sorry.  At least you two have come to a mutual understanding about the finances which is so important to your future ~ especially in this time of credit crisis.  Too bad you don't live in Nevada or you could have your divorce final in 10 days and be rid of him.  I want to make sure that you know that none of this is your fault.  I have known a few women that have married Muslim men, and none of the marriages worked out.  It started off great then the parents (well fathers) butted-in.  They have such a different belief system ....... they think so little of women and their wives and daughter must be so subservient.  I'm sure it didn't start our that way or you would never have married him, but then he went home to Egypt and probably got loads of grief and pressure from his family for how wrong he was living his life (in their eyes) and to keep them happy, as all Muslim children do, he decided to either force you to change or leave you ~ probably not what he wanted but he's gotta keep them happy.  I know how alone you feel ...... my siblings (both parents are gone) rarely speak to me and since our move a few months ago, I haven't made any new fiends.  But keep your chin up and be happy, even if you have to fake it ~ it will drive him crazy.  And remember, you're not alone.

SM, let me first say how very truely sorry I am that you are hurting so. Even a mutual decision to part ways can be painful Sad . I know first hand the betrayal of trust it seems you're experiancing. Just know that time will help heal the hurt, you WILL grow stronger from having gone through it. I am a firm believer in Karma and as such, I also believe his decisions will come back to haunt him. I've always told both of my daughters that its ok to make mistakes. But its how we fight back and recover from those mistakes that can define the person we truely are. I have also tried to instill in my daughters a high sense of self worth or esteem. I have tried to teach them that finding that special someone is great, but also to never become dependant on that person (emotionally or financially). I guess time will eventually tell if any of those seeds took root   I don't want them to depend on any guy for anything. I want them to be able to tell a guy to "piss off" if need be and not look back. (Personally, I have to research it a bit, but I'm seriously considering a protection curse for both of them that will endure even after I've left this world and bring untold pain & suffering to any person that does them wrong  Twisted Evil ). It sounds like you're past the initial hurt stage and moved on to a little bit of anger and resentment. It's all part of the healing process, it just takes time sweetie (took me awhile during my divorce from my first wife). And once you get past that, you may not give him another thought for the rest of your life (its his loss). What Thiodora said is correct about the Muslim belief system. Women are EXTREMELY subservient in the Muslim world. And if that's how he wants you to be, then you are better off without him (its definitely not how I would want my daughters treated- which again brings me back to that pretection curse thing- NOBODY HURTS MY BABIES Twisted Evil ). Well, best of luck to you darlin'. I know pretty much all of the responses to this topic have been from women. But as I've said before, both men and women experience the same broad spectrum of emotions when it comes to affairs of the heart. Just wanted you to know that there are some men out there who are on your side too. Marriage is a two way street. So when one person throws up a "ONE WAY" sign on that street, its time to turn around and seek an alternative route Laughing

Blessed Be,

Draco

SM, I am sorry about what you are going through.  I wish I could offer some words of comfort or advice but every one on here as said more than I ever could.  I hope things work out for you.

Merry Meeting,

It seems apparent that he was in need of you as his primary objective.  Knowing of what people call "Muslim", they have a concept of concubine.  This behavior would never be accepted by true Muslim.  They would not receive him unto their coven.  Be careful when the divorce goes through.  They severe responsibility and if he is of a believe that merges corruption in the Muslim religion, much as Maffia did in Catholicism, then they have a standard that would demote you to an even lower state of existence.  I do not say that he is this way, merely be careful.  Supremacy is found in many forms.  I believe you termed it correctly in the usage of the word "bigotry".  May Our Lady watch over thee.

Blessed Be,

Lady Tamara*

OH SM!  I love the way you roar!  More power to you!  The way you describe your future home sounds sooooo cool.  Lots and lots of cats and herbs and candles and your altar and your pentagram!  I like it!!  I know without the negative energy of a grossly unhappy partner my house is feeling much better all the time and everytime I redecorate something the way I want it feels even better.  I too, am finding that living alone need not be lonely, but can be extremely liberating and even hedonistic a bit.  (Only having to please yourself does have its perks!)  Now if I could just get this house sold and moved into my very own place without worrying about muggles wandering through I could go really creative with my own space!  Ah, someday soon I hope!  You keep looking toward the future and dreaming and creating....it'll be here before you know it!

If you can dream it, you can create it!!!

BTW akina, it's not a clip. Can you go to Bluebeat.com? If so, type in Helen Ready, I am woman in the search and it will pop up for you. It is a 70's song!!!

Funny thing, today I turn on our music stations we have on cable here, I tuned to the 70's channel, and oh look Helen Ready was singing I am woman!! What a coinkydinky!!!  Laughing
