(cat)  Gotta luv kitties, even the oddball, socially deficited one's!  Given time, they come round. We have one that was ferrel when the oldest found her, and she had many ages of psycho issues, but now ya can't get the bitch out from under your feet, or off the top of your head at night! (she like to sleep on my pillow above my head!!!! Mad ) her and I play alpha bitch for the lower corner of my side of the bed as well!!! I win!  Twisted Evil

Acasia, sounds like a very savy case of inginuity there with that fashion sensed faucet! Laughing

gonna start moving youngest stuff into the newly redone room this weekend once we put the last new doorknob on and I find the damn spots I missed on the ceiling. (need some sunlight to illuminate, cause the ceiling light blindsme/blocks out the spots! (Only difference is the shininess of the missed spots! White on white!)

I miss my kitty.  Crying or Very sad  Kittens can be a handful sometimes, but they sure are a pleasure to have around.

TGIF!!! When this day is over, I'm gonna rest me old tired footsies and ignore the world.  Maybe I'll pop up some p-corn and watch a good old movie.

I wish we lived closer to each other Seamonster.  I was dog-tired yesterday after work and decided to pop a Harry Potter movie in the DVD and popped some corn myself!  Nice way to wind down.

I had to laugh at just how completely oblivious my boss is.  Yesterday he comes to my desk as I'm cashing out and tells me he noticed I was all alone up front and asked how it went.  Well, I've been working here for 2 years and have worked Saturdays by myself for about 23 months!  ANd he works half of the Saturdays with me, and just noticed I'm by myself??!!   Yeesh!  Naturally I told him it went just fine thanks to my exceptional receptionist skills which deserved recognition,.....perhaps by a raise?? Smile  He just chuckled and walked away..... Evil or Very Mad

Ooh, they had a bunch of Harry Potter on the satellite yesterday, so I watched it, too, Acasia.  They have also been playing Practical Magic all week, so I've watched it a number of times.  (I love that movie!)  Right now they're playing Eragon, so I'm half watching that, half playing on the 'puter and half fixing to plan dinner.  (okay, that was thirds,  not halves)  Very Happy

Well this must be a multitasking day SM. I'm washing storm windows, mopping floors, doing laundry, making a pot of chicken and noodles for tomorrows dinner (will cook tinights porkchops, fried taters and peas later on), doing dishes, and have desicede to stip a momnet and take a quick break and get back to my own whip crackin' day! I'm actually accomplishin' sumfin'!!!! yeah me!!! Laughing

Ok, so you all know me well enough by now to know that I'm an early riser and stay fairly busy.  Well, my day started off rotten and I just haven't been able to shake it so easily.

It was beautiful here in northeast Louisiana again this morning.  Low humidity, lower than normal temps, just gorgeous.

I was leaving to go let my friend's dogs out at 8:00 and locked not one, but both sets of my car/apt. keys inside.  I had my purse, cell phone, and her house keys in my hand.   I didn't panic or lose control.  It was 10:30 before I was able to get back inside and that's when I lost it.  All my emotions came flooding out.  I had been able to hold them in all along until then.  I am so thankful for good neighbors.

I was able to go let the dogs out later, but didn't get to do laundry because where I go is packed except certain times on certain days.  I didn't get to go to church and they were really depending on me today for praise and worship because our leader was on a cruise.  Of course they understood and called to check in on me later.

Today would've been my daddy's 84th birthday, so I was gonna take my mama to lunch and spend time with her to help her get thru the day.  I did get to go pick up something and take it to her house, but as soon as I saw her, I just wanted to cry.  And I did...on her shoulder....with her arms around me.

I had planned a day to help her feel better and it worked the other way around.  How ironic is that?  I guess you're never too old to curl up in your mama's lap and let her make it all better.

My emotions are still on shaky ground for whatever reason.  I hope the rest of my week is much better.

I just needed to tell somebody.  Thanks, guys.

Blessings,
Amethystone

Amethystone, I'm sure your mother was glad to help you out.  No matter how I'm feeling I always feel better if I can be there for one of my kids when they need me.  It's nice you let her know she's still needed!

Novia, can you send some of that energy and discipline my way?  It's rainy and way too humid here and I just feel like vegging on the couch,....again today.

SM, I love the movie Practical Magic!  Watched it the other night too!  Hmmm, must stay away from TV today and actually do something though.

Yeah, I have to agree Acasia...doesnt matter how down I am feeling myself, one of my great joys is to be able to do things for my babies.  The charge of being a mother, wouldnt change it for the world  Very Happy

I love Practical Magic too, it gets watched far too often in this house......if that is at all possible.  In fact, now that you have made me think of it, I am sure I will end up watching it at some point today as a study break.  I have to learn the names and latin binomials and the herbs actions for around 90 plants  Shocked  I feel a bit of insanity coming on!

Hope everyone has a glorious day  Very Happy

Hee, hee...I would love to stay away from the tv, too, and usually I do, but NOW there's a show on discovery channel about Nefertiti, one of my favorite queens.  So, of course, I'm compelled to watch it.   Confused

Welcome Dawn to the castle.

Us, rowdy, no not at all!!!! Twisted Evil

I watched a cool show last night SM called Beyond Egypt. Actually it was about Relics, beings revered and worships for the powers of their bodies, long long, long, after death, both human, and animal alike. Actually didn't even stay in Egypt, but traveled round the world. Awesome show!! Wsh I coulda stayed up for the second one, but too tired!. Mad
