Happy three-day-weekend SM!!  I have the whole weekend off too!!  After the day I had at work today, I'm not gonna be thinking about anything for the next few days either!  Tonight's the full moon and I so wanted to do some spell-casting, but alas, my day was so draining all I can think about is curling up in bed!

Indigo, sounds like even if that horrible woman offers you a job, you'd be nuts to take it if she affects you so negatively!  I once worked for a woman like that and when I was able to quit I walked out and never looked back!  It felt so good to be rid of her - like the sun coming out after a long spell of cold rain.  Something else will come along.  But if you have to take the job try to think of it as an exercise in character building, that's how I tried to look at my time in hell with my troll-boss.

Naturallyme, the road trip sounds great, have a good time!  And I wish you good luck if you have to place your dog with another family.  That is a really hard thing to do.

Hello everyone! Sorry I haven't been around much, between Derek, school, and pulling a muscle in my lower back I just haven't been able to sit down in front of this computer. Let's see what can I say to catch you all up to speed.  (thinking) Derek has been having fewer seizures till school started, now they are picking up some. Deanna is back home and enjoying 7th grade. Not much homework this year so far. Hubby and I are talking about possibly moving back to St. Louis. More family there to help out with the kids so we can get a break once in awhile. I'm tired of all the 100 degree weather and can't wait till it breaks! I pulled a muscle in my lower back while turning to talk to Deanna. How that is possible is beyond me, but it happened and kept sending shooting pain down both my legs that I stuck in bed for weeks. Talk about boring! I'm not one of those people who like to do nothing, I have to be moving all the time. Well that should bring you up to speed thus far.

Well I'm off to get caught up on everyone else's going ons. May take awhile there was a lot that I missed. Until next time Bright Blessings to one and all!

If ye harm none, do what ye will!

Cat nip is great stuff.  Right now I am the most popular "drug dealer" in the neighbor hood, 3 out of my 4 cats are stoned off nip right now.  The fourth isn't affected by it (A recessive gene causes cats not to be affected by cat nip and he apparently got two of 'em.)

Hello all!!!  Back from Seattle and what an excellent time I had out there!!  From decent flights (not a one was cancelled, nor stuck anywhere!) to Vietnamese restaurants, to trendy downtown jazz club (freaky!! but heard the best drum solo I've ever heard) to utterly awesome mountain hot springs complete with skinny-dippers!!  Oh, and I was actually in Port Angeles about an hour from Forks!! No hot vampires though  Laughing bummer..... Then hung out with a dozen number theorists on Lopez Island - now that's a trip!!  Anyway, it was a real vacation and I came back exhausted and refreshed and ready for more.

Icymoon, hope your back is healing by now. It's amazing how when a muscle hurts it reminds you of how much it's all connected to everything else, huh?

Novia, you back yet?  Or have the Dakota hills claimed you?  Sounds like tons of fun, let us know how it went.

Oh, it was better than excellent!  So refreshing to be among liberal thinkers and people who are ok with themselves.  So different from the uptight Northeast!  And the city is full of gardens and trees - the nickname "Emerald City" is totally earned.

Is is time to start collecting two of every animal yet?  It has been raining just about non stop for two weeks now with more rain predicted for next week. All of central and north Georgia is under a flood watch and many of the Atlanta area schools are canceled for tomorrow.  Ben was working emergency pod deliveries all day, taking pods into areas where peoples home had been flooded.   He even saw one mans workshop get washed down the river.  Pretty nasty.  I even heard on the news that six people have been killed.  Its a good thing this bucket of rust is on top of a hill.

I might have a job soon.  A new Pizza Hut just opened in the Kroger strip mall.  I am hoping to hear from the owner on Wednesday or Thursday.   He offered to give me his number to call so I could call them if I hadn't heard anything by Thursday, I didn't even get a chance to ask for it so that seems promising.

As for my family, well my step dad seems to be doing alright.  Mom says he is sick and tired of the rocking chair but if he sits on the couch he can't get back up.  He lost a lot of weight after his surgery but mom has been buying Ensure drinks to try and build him back up.  I figure He'll probably have to drink Ensure or take supplements for the rest of his life to make up for his decreased ability to absorb nutrition though so no surprise there.

And my nephew is already sleeping through the night.  Kid is only a month old!  Mom told me, I haven't had a chance to talk to my brother in a couple of weeks because my phone doesn't work well inside the house and it been a little bit rainy here.

I had a strange dream the other night too.  I was up high looking down on a lake and saw some kittens in the water near a peer.  I went down to help them and once I was there I realized there were human babies in the water as well.  They seemed to be floating up from the bottom.  A few had gotten hung on structures under the water and drowned (or had never really lived in the first place)  But others had floated to the surface and were alive and healthy, sleeping on the surface of the water.  Of course I dived in and started bringing the living babies to shore.

At one point I was under water with one of the living babies in my arms and I paused to try and recover one of the bodies but he was hung and I couldn't get him with out dropping the little girl in my arms so I left the body and took the girl to shore.  I ended up with half a dozen babies and even more older children and toddlers.  All still sound asleep and laid together in two rows, babies in one and older kids and tots in another.

Then I was in a pharmacy trying to buy bottles and formula.  The Pharmacists were trying to get me to buy fancy bottles with cc measurement and stomach tubes for giving babies medicine but I refused, my gut told me I needed regular old school baby bottles.  Which for some reason were a blue rather than transparent.  And that's were I woke up.

I never seem to have normals dreams but that one takes the cake.  Ah well, at least it wasn't hidden rooms or eggs this time.  Those use to be recurring themes but I can't remember having a hidden room in my dreams in quite a while.  Though I occasionally still dream about eggs.  Usually dragon eggs.

Well, that is what is going on in my neck of the woods.

Happy Mabon!!!  Very Happy

Hey, Indigo, go back over your dream and replace "babies" with "ideas" or "projects" or whatever else you think might fit.  Then read it back to yourself and see if it makes sense.
BTW, I'm glad you are high and dry.  Stay safe and don't go near the deep end!  My thoughts are for those who have lost family and homes in this bad weather.
I just feel lovey today, so, at the risk of sounding reeeeally cheesy...I love you all!

Glad to know you're high and dry, Indigo!  Hope things work out for you with the pizza place.

Welcome back, Novia.  I've missed you!  Glad to hear your trip was good and look forward to the pics.

SM, you had me worried there for a bit.    :|  It's good to know you feel lovey today....cuz you are loved!   Smile

Acasia, I'm glad you enjoyed Seattle.  That's a place I've never been, but always wanted to.  Maybe one day.

So glad you're all safe and sound tonight.
