Here is my situation: Lately I feel as though someone is messing with my energy/aura. It feels as though someone is running their fingers through my aura and altering it. When this happens I dream of a particular individual to whom I have little connection with. I'm not sure if this person is actually the cause of my weird feelings (energy wise) or if something else is becoming an issue. The only facts that I do know is when I'm around this person I get a serious case of the heebiejeebies (I know that's not a technical term, but this dude makes me shudder in creepiness) and I feel as though everything around me has turned negative and I get a sinking feeling (similar to dread) in the pit of my stomach. Maybe I'm just becoming overly paranoid because this person freaks me out so much, but I really think he is messing with me in some way. So onto the questions:

Is it possible for someone or something to interfere and/or manipulate energy of another person? Is it easier to do this while a person is dreaming? Am I a complete nutcase and being overly paranoid, or could something be truly going on?

So what are your thoughts? I promise not to freak out if someone tells me I'm crazy (my shrink's already bursted that bubble lol  Very Happy j/k!)

Well first off, yes it is.

Secondly and most importantly make sure to take precautionary measures. sheilding, grounding, etc.

I find that usually gut instinct is correct.

What is is about this person that freaks you out so? Do you catch him stalking you or constantly looking at you? Does he follow you to your car or home? Just curious. I agree with Novia that your first instinct is usually the right one. But if the shielding and the grounding doesn't work, do you own a nice, sharp athame? (just kidding- that's the over protective dad part of me talking Twisted Evil ). But seriously, as a law enforcement officer, I'd have to advise you if this person is harrassing you in some way, you have an obligation to inform this person that what he is doing will not be tolerated. If he continues to harrass you, report it to your local police. Also, its not a bad idea to keep a written account of every time this person does harrass you. Also, if its occuring on the job, check into whether or not there is an EEOC officer there and report it to them as well. Best of luck to you dear.

Blessings,

Thank you for both of your responses.
Novia, I am cleansing my house today and will be working on protection around the house. Do you have any ideas for self-protection? I've never had to protect my person just my house.

Draco, I'm not sure athames are allowed on campus but I'll look into it lol! This person just gives me that freaky kind of feeling. It's like when he's around everything around me fades into dark colors so to speak. It's really hard to explain, but it feels like he's sucking out all of the positive energy around me and throwing back tons of negative energy. I've noticed him watching me when we have class together and he always finds some excuse to talk to be before class. Other than that the only place I've seen him has been in my dreams (where he's more in the background than a major player if that makes sense). I just have this feeling of extreme unease when he's around. However, I'm not sure that my loss of energy and positivity is soley due to him or if he's doing anything at all. It's just my main theory at this point. Is it possible for someone to have so much negativity that they suck the positive energy out of someone?

When ever I have an "episode" (a dream or interaction with this person) I am totally drained the next day, It's like a mass depression washes over me. Anybody have any good protection ideas?

There are people called psychic vampires, and pull energy away from you is exactly what they do.  I don't know about filling you with negative energy,  but it's likely that you are not so much being filled with negative energy as it is that the removal of your own energy leaves a void that makes you feel negative.  Shielding is the best way to deal with psychic vampires, the visualization of a mirror all around you to  bounce whatever is sent your way back is a pretty good shield.   Always shield yourself before you see this person, and keep aware of the shield, and make sure it stays up when you are with him.

Rainbelles,

I know of psychic vampires, I just wanted to see what other people thought. I've been having a hard time concentrating lately and I'm thinking my "situation" has something to do with it. I feel off balance and out of "whack". Any ideas how I can help restore my concentration so I can shield appropriately?

HI Deviantlina,

Let's try a different approach in viewing it as not so much an external problem as an internal one. I think that this person is not purposefully draining you so much as his energy is making you extremly uncomfortable. Obviously, staying away would be my best advice, but you can't seem to do that. Sheilding is also important, and there is more than just the mentalist way of sheilding. Here are a few things you can do that have worked for me in the past:

1. This is going to sound really strange, but eat more red meat. Meat is extremely grounding, which is why so many spiritualists and occultists are vegetarians. Meat will not only make you less open metaphysically, but it will help you deal with the overall weakness.

2. Bring a hot cup of a fragrant, purifying herbal tea with you to class, such as lemon, ginger, or mint. The fragrance and the herb itself will center and calm you.

3. Pray or chant in your mind when you sense their presence. You do not need a special prayer, just when that you hold as protective. The ones that are easiest to remember are the best. I use this in my life, but also in dreams.

4. Use a diluted essential oil or oil balm, applying it to your temple, inner writs, heart, and inner thighs. I like rosemary most for this, and if I am really bothered, I apply a dot just beneath my nose.

5. This one can be a bit rough, but trying to actively transmute the negative vibes into positive ones is possible. GAther your energy, and focusing on compassion and joy, try to expand your aura to encompass the spacfe around you and calm those with in the sphere. This is difficult becuase instead of protecting yourself from perceived harm, you are accepting the negativity and trying to calm the "threat."  I am not great at this, but it is possible.

5. Take an epsom salt and/or baking soda bath before bed. This is really purifying and really relaxing.

I hope this helps, and keep us posted.

Thank you Stacey for the great tips. I definitely need to be more grounded and your red meat tip seems true (I haven't eaten red meat in almost a month lol). I can try harder to avoid interactions with this person but we do have to see each other during our class time. I agree with you on the point of him not intentionally draining me. I don't even think he is consciously doing these things. The main problems I'm having are during my dream states. He is always in my dreams, not as a focal point but lingering in the back ground always watching me.

Thank you for your tips, I'll start working on them.

PS: Totally off topic, but is the sigl of Baphomet always a Satanic symbol? (Inverted pentacle w/ goat's head on/in it). I don't believe in Satan, nor do I believe in demons. But I do believe that if someone else has belief in an idea, that idea holds power. This is completely unrelated to my current situation, just a question. lol

It sounds to me as if this young man is attracted to your energy, and I tend to agree with the psychic vampire thing, but, in my experience, psychic vampires are usually people who are draining when they open their mouths.  I am not seeing this from your situation, unless I'm wrong.  I like Stacey's ideas.  (I might have to use them, too).  One thing I might add, is that if this young man seems so negative, say a little blessing for him silently when you see him (along with all of your efforts at protection).  Perhaps he needs it and this is why he is attracted to you.

Seamonster, thanks for the positive spin on things  Smile . I tend to always look at the negative. I will try to say a blessing for him when I see him. Hopefully, if nothing else, the blessing will throw him off a little and he'll be unable to drain me as much. And I think you're right, that he's attracted to my energy (negative people are typically attracted to me for some reason or another). Thanks!

Hi again,

The pentagram or inversted pentacle predates the invention of the Christian concept of Satan as the devil. The pentagram is believed to be a symbolic remenant of the worship of ancient goat-headed gods, such as Pan. To take this a step further, the anthropologist, Maria Gimbutas argues that the depiction of the horned goat head in ancient art is actually a symbolic representation of the female reproductive system. In a nutshell, Gimbutas maintains that prehistoric societies were matriachal, and that with the rise of agriculture, private property, and influx of war-loving, patriarchal pastoralists (herders), the new aggressive patriarchy overthew the matriarchal societies and villanized the symbolisms of female authority. Those who advocate Gimbutas' appraoch view the inverted pentacle and goat headed gods as rememenants of ancient goddess worship.

On another note, the inverted pentacle in the occult circles (Masonic, Kabbalistic, Hermetic) refers to the casting of rituals meant to alter physical reality. Basically if the point is facing up, you are working with air and spirit. If the point is fasing down, you are working with flesh and earth.

However, modern Satanists have adopted the inverted pentacle and the goats head has a sign of chaos and evil, so if you see someone wearing the symbol, I would not immediately assume they are goddess worshipers or Masons.  Also, Statnists do tend to were more overt and visible symbols than the other groups.

PS: Many people refer to the five pointed star as a pentacle and the five pointed star inclosed in a circle as a pentagram. If you want to be really anal retentive about it, a pentacle is any depiction of a five pointed-star, and a pentagram is the drawing of the five pointed-star. Most people use pentacle and pentagram interchangeabley.

Stacey,

Thanks for the history. I'm familiar with the pre-Christian concepts of the pentagram, pentacle, and goat head. I've seen the sigil of Baphomet as a tattoo on a person who is very into appearing "dark and mysterious". I believe he is probably not using this sigil as a symbol of goddess worship but I'll ask him next time I see him. I'm just trying to further my research into symbols, talismans, and amulets.  Smile

PS: I always thought the pentacle was a depiction of any 5 pointed star and the pentagram as a drawing of a 5 pointed star. Thanks for the clarification  Smile  (This is what you get being self-taught! lol)

Also something you might give a shot is a mirror deflecting outward (On your wall facing out a window?) trying to descr. Im not so good at! But it will help reflect anything back outwards..also maybe a "witchs bottle"?

They GREAT! Just take any type of small bottle and even if you dont have a yard I read of putting it in a flower pot or was suggested I think here in back of a closet!

All though I dont think it is deliberate....Im getting impression he dont even realise it is happening but better safe than sorry! hmmmm have you put wards on your windows and doors? Pondering, be careful! Bright Blessings, Kim

Hi Kim,

I had actually thought of making a witch's bottle. But I need to gather my materials first. Also, what wards would you suggest? I already have mirrors facing out windows (for deflection).

That's the thing about most psychic vampires;  they do not do what they do intentionally.  Most of them are just very troubled, needy people, and their weakness is a spiritual thing, so they reach out to other people who have bright or expansive auras.   They usually seem to go for people who have a lively spirituality, I think because those people are the ones who have larger auric fields to begin with.  If you can get your hands on a piece of hematite, or even better a necklace or pendant with hematite in it, that will help ground you, in addition to the red meat.  Also, try to find time to spend outside, just sitting quietly somewhere, and  let your mind go blank. Stay there as long as you can, even if your thoughts wander.  (sometimes our wandering thoughts are our guides trying to speak with us)  If you work on this for a while, you will find your ability to concentrate coming back.
