I have made witches bottles before. I use herbs for protection, pins and my own hair.(to make it personal) After that, I paint the bottle black. And it works!  

I lov e both suggestions.  I have not ever made one of these.....i think maybe i will try one.I  could use one.

i have made a few of these, but with some changes. they work great! we had a particular person who was unwanted in our home, but when you live with roommates...ahh, well.  majority opinion was we wanted them gone! i made a bottle, and within a month the person was out of the picture (hopefully for good this time!) i highly recommend them!

I know this is an old post - but I have used witches bottles on a few occassions with great results.  I have used them for protection, especially where our violent neighbours are concerned and have been more than happy with the results.  Mine had a mixture of hot spices, glass, pins and other sharp objects to warn said neighbours to stay off our property.  Never had a problem since.

This is my recipe I came up with about 2 years ago.

Pt = part which is a pinch. I used a mason jar with these herbs.

I have made a witch's bottle before.  But my items were vastly different.  I used a small jar, broken pieces of mirror, nails, and (ick I know) time of the month fluid.  That is when a female witch is the most powerful.  The broken mirror sends the negativity back to the sender (reflects)  I needed strong magic to repel attacks.  I sealed the jar with wax from a black candle, buried it in the far corner of the yard at midnight during a full moon ritual.  This WORKS people.
