For as long as I can remember, the full moon has had a very pronounced, profound effect on me. When I was a little feller, I'd stay up all night--when TV went off the air at 3 am--or want to go outside and play. Later on, the time of the full moon would be when I'd have my first mystical experiences. Nowadays I go hiking at night (without a flashlight) and have weird, compulsive housecleaning binges. (No, the full moon's not the only time I clean house.) I am most creative and energetic. I pull my best practical jokes. I embark on daytime hiking and cycling expeditions for which I'm not really in shape. The new moon, on the other hand, has a depressive effect, but I've learned to offset that with exercise, meditation, diet and avoiding negativity (people). I just see no reason to temper my full-moon fever. I look forward to it and embrace it. Anyone else go through this?
