I know this isn't as active as it used to be, but you guys have known me since I was a teenager (I think I was 15-16. I'm turning 28 this summer, despite many mental illnesses, a horrible abusive relationship and other mishaps, but I survived).
I live further north, but still in Alberta. I'm now a professional, or at least semi professional Tarot reader. I taught myself in about a month (that shouldn't be a surprise considering how fast I learn) by basically memorizing the cards and forming storytelling relationships between each card to get an understanding of what the correlation was in a spread. I've been doing it now for about 7 months.
Anyways, I wanted to sort of give you guys an update on how I was doing, and that yes I was alive, and that I'm okay. I'm not trying to self-promote, I'm just trying to let you guys know I'm safe. It's just a 4 minute interview about my survival story. Sorry it's a little quiet.

Anyways, I wanted to thank you so much for being there for me when I was younger, and giving me the structure I needed as a foundation for my spirituality. I didn't know how important spirituality would be when I was faced with suicide and didn't know where I would end up. I decided that the Gods weren't done with me yet, they put me here for a reason. The cards followed me here for a reason, and I needed to use them. So I did what I did when I was younger. I studied my butt off just like I did with Wicca and Witchcraft. I might not be Wiccan, but I'm still a Witch.
I'm not going to tell you what happened in the past 5 years. To be honest, it's still too painful, especially the past 2 years. I will tell you that 2 years ago I moved to a small town 2 hours north of where I used to live, so I'm still close to my family, but far away enough that I feel safe. 2's are great for new beginnings. I have a dog named Mya who is a Labrador wolf cross (I've no idea, that's apparently what the DNA said, but she's awesome!), and I'm in a new relationship that is secure, safe, and loving. I'm skittish, so I know he's frustrated a little bit, but he's patient. I'm Chairperson for Beyond the Heart Clubhouse - a program specifically designed for adults with mental illnesses -as well as an unoffical spokesperson, as I've done several interviews off the cuff, such as that one in the video.
So yeah. Thank you Pagan Living. Even though I speak very little here, you have all known me for a very long time. I'm still here because you listened to a very sick, very niave little girl who had a lot of heart and compassion - and still does. Thank you for being here.
