Has anyone read any of Laurel K Hamilton's Merry Gentry novels? They are fun and cleverly written. I was just wondering if anyone else liked them?

I enjoy Laurell K. Hamilton's Merry Gentry series and the Anita Blake series. However, I have felt a bit betrayed with the Anita Blake series lately since Hamilton went from an awesome action series to erotic fiction. At least with the Merry Gentry series, you were expecting it.

I am with you, Stacey. The Anita Blake series is getting to be a little hard to read. My local bookstore was closing its' doors so I went and bought most of the series that I didn't already own at 40% off. Jackpot for me! Except that I cannot seem to get through Cerulean Sins, book 11, and I still have 4 more to go! I did buy the Merry Gentry series as well so maybe I will take a break and jump into that.

I have to admit the first set of books, that I got from the SciFi book club as a set, were the best...sigh...but I am not giving up...I WILL finish them...

I've heard that the next book in the Anita Blake series is supposed to have more action, and not necessarily the sexual kind. As the last few novels seem to consist of 800 pages of Anita walking down a hallway and having to have emergency sex every five feet, I can only hope that Hamilton actually bothered to write a plot for the next book.
