okay, how many of us here have faries wondering around? i'm used to them being around in my home. the history of faries, their connections with some of us, goes back many years ago. faries are sometimes addressed as "the little people". they are not always the ones drawn in fairy tale books, or seen in movies flims. they have a magical realm to themselves, and they aren't as easily conjured to magicly appear, as one may think. if one does not believe in them, then it is impossible to see the fairy. only a kind heart, it may be possible to see them. yes, they are commonly known as prankers, fairies like to hide my keys, or get into my jewlery box.

one night my close friend janet and i, had taken the bus, out to the shopping mall. after shopping, she had checked her purse to make sure she didn't over spend, cause we had to save enough money to get back home, and we had plans to eat out for the night. well, the leading back to our home town had showed up, and janet had gave the bus driver the money. after walking inside my home, janet needed to use her calculator, which was inside her purse.. and as she went to open it up.. she was starteled that the $200.00 was gone? i suguested that she dump everything out, and unzip all the purse pockets, and check her jeans as well.
no money, as if the $200.00 had dissapered? i told janet to leave the purse couch, and lets walk in the other room to relax our feet, from all that walking, from the shopping mall. anyway, after watching tv in the other room, i told janet for us to walk back into the other room where the purse is. i explained that we stomp our feet 3 times, and demand for the $200.00 dollars back! after stomping our feet, janet went to check the purse again, and sure enough.. Very Happy there was the $200.00 back in the purse. Shocked oh dear, the look on janet's face lol Very Happy today, she buys calenders with pictures of fairies on them. lol okay, what are your fairy experiences?

Hehehe My my naughty fairies!

I have been told to look for them, but I'm not sure if I have had them around here.

very interesting tree indeed. yes, they have a varity of different colorful obs. it is possible to hear their enchanted music, as they gather among themselves.. keep in mind that they are prankers, and they would try anything to trick humans into their enchanted magical realm. if anyone should encounter a fairy, always be kind to them. For some reason in my life I find myself surrounded by men. My husband and his employees, our friends usually touch base in our home before heading out to work together. None of these men share my beliefs when it comes to the day to day happenings of our lives and they usually scoff at me in a cute patronizing sort of way.

Ha ha, one day the the fairies were cleary on my side. The pranksters that they are, someone was missing their keys. I immediately respond "the fairies took them", at which the guys nervously smiled. Tony, the owner of the missing keys spent nearly an hour searching desperately for them. His car was blocking the driveway and we were all trapped until he found them. I suggested he go inside the house, scatter some loose change around, and politely ask for his keys to be returned. "They like shiny things", I stated. More nervous smiles from the guys.

Finally Tony was at the point he wanted to call a locksmith to remedy the situation. Very expensive. "Why don't you just try this, the very mean no harm, they are just having fun and it certainly won't hurt to try", i say. He surrendered. Change was scattered, no pennies, fairies are not cheap. Requests were made. "now I said, Let It Go. Get a cup of coffee, chill, then go back inside and look". The guys think I'm weird, but I don't care, because sure enough within five minutes of Tony looking, there they were! Down the hall, on the floor under the coffe table, up against the wall. Tony is now a firm beleiver and the boys are avid change throwers everytime something goes missing. I smile happily.

May the God/dess Bless the funny little fairies! They now have new believers based on the faith of one.

I enjoyed reading these stories. My middle child sees fairies. She started seeing them in the previous place we lived in Wisconsin and still sees them down here. I think there are some in the house, as I have seen flashes of yellowish light and really fast movement that you can never really catch.

A few weekends ago we took a long hike through the woods trying to find a cave. While we were walking my oldest noticed the natural archways over the trails. She said they were doorways and noticed that before and after each doorway there was a marker for the trails. We decided that when we entered each one, we were leaving "man's" realm and entering natures. Well in one of the natures area I noticed a large circle made by fallen limbs off the trail. I pointed out the fairy circle to my family and asked my daughter if she could see any fairies there. She said yes there were a lot of them there. I kept seeing flashes of things moving, but couldn't get anything in focus. Kinda like catching things out of the corner of your eye..except I was looking straight at it.
We, unfortunally, were not able to leave any kind of offering to them. As we only had what was needed for a long hike with us.

I will have to try the scattering of coins. Maybe I will find my oldests pentacle. Although I have a question about that. After you scatter the coins and get back what your missing, what do you do with the coins? Taking them back seems wrong to me, but with a 3 year old running around my house I can't leave money just laying around. Gods only know where it would end up. lol

I hope this post makes sense, I feel like I rambled. lol
Blessings,

blessings ladyalpha, i was wondering did you try scaring for your pentacle? as for the taking the coins back.. if it doesn't feel right to you doing so, then maybe leaving the money behind might be a good idea? okay, looking back on more experiences i encountered with faires.. it was a late wednesday night, and i was feeling extremly tired, and so i decided to turn on my tv, and cuddel up in my chair, to watch some of my late tv shows, until i dooze off to alsleep. when we sleep, our bodies goes threw many different phases of sleep patterens. i fell into a deep sleep that triggered astral traveling, although i was phsyically in bed, but spritually my astral self began exploring the unknown. my dream seem like it was a calling, as a gentel melodey carried my astral self into a forest, near a lake. there appeared a large castel up ahead, there seem to had been fairy-like creatures flying around the castel, gaurding the enetrance. anything could had awaken me from the physcial plane such as a ringing telephone, or a doorbell. i did not want to be awaken, to allow my astral self to gather much information as possible, about the astral journy. once the dream was over, i quickly awaken out of bed, and grabbed my bos, to write down my atral experience with the faries Wink

I have quite a few faeries in my home. They are always there and go with us each time we move. I catch movement out of the corner of my eye a lot as they move around. Mostly it's at night or late at night I see them. My cats often chase things around the house that I can't see but I know they're playing with the faeries. Smile

There's only been a couple of times that things have gone missing to where I've had to tell them to give it back. Most times they just are around watching. We had one neat experience where my daughter after taking a shower one night decided to write a note on the steamed up mirror to the faeries. She put Hi, my name is Serena. The next night after her shower had steamed up the mirror there was some writing there with a name. Unfortunately we couldn't make out the whole name but it began with a J. That has been the only time though and I think I'll ask her to do it again. Maybe they'll put more. The writing was clearly not mine or hers.

UnfixingSilver: No I haven't tried scrying for it. But, I believe I am going to do that. I have no idea where she put it. And with cleaning the house and searching for other things since it has been missing, none of us have ran acrossed it. My husband wants to use the pendant (the chain is broken) for a circlet he is going to make me. But, if we don't find it before then, we will just order a new one. Unfortunally, we don't have a shop down here to buy one so we will have to get one on line.
I am debating doing the scrying for it or the coin thing. I don't know if fairies took it though, so I would hate to assume and offend them. Maybe I will have my daughter talk to them. (We tend to lose a lot of things all the time, so it may just be our bad habit. lol).

Karen: That is really cool. I get things on my mirrors from time to time. None of us have ever written on one to communicate with anything though.

I am curious from all of you that work with fairies. I know that copper is supposed to be offensive to fairies. But, is there anything specific that they like? I think it would be nice to have an altar or something in the yard set up for them to make them feel welcome. I have read some things, like making fairy houses and one where you put glitter down with a crystal. But, I was wondering if you have any other tips or ideas?
I am very interested in learning about this. If nothing else, just to have the knowledge. And, even if I never do much with the fairies, I know my daughter would love to do it.
Thank you.

One thing I did was make a faerie house! I took a faery class last year and one of our assignments was to build them a house. It looks pretty neat and I think they like having their own place. Smile

This is what it looks like from the front a close up of the words that says Faerie Home and what's on the roof of the home. I like the way it turned out and I love crafting anyway and enjoy working with my hands when I can.

Well

I haven't actually gotten a good look at one...except maybe a flash at the corner of my eye once and a while...but they are definitely in my house, lol...and they just lovvvee to hide things. Keys, once and awhile money (I was cleaning a room and found 2 dollars that I swear hadn't been there before Shocked) and odds and ends...then I just wait a while, go on a casual look around and of course, more often than not, find the missing things in obvious places

I do wish the little buggers would stop doing that with my earrings though Laughing

blessings galenafaolan, that is a very pritty faery house you've made, and thanks for sharing the pics with us.

blessings miladybru, tell me about, the fairies has a habit of getting into the jewlery. lol

when it comes to what attracts faries, they don't like shiny objects. especially if they are placed on the altar, this includes the wearing of shinny rings and bracelts, whenever performing fairy magic. they do like crystal objects or anything that sparkels/gitters. fairies are likely actracted to people who work with magic, or using their psychic abilities. when you are listening to soft music on the radio, or playing a musical cd that they might like. you just might notice the little orbs of fairy lights from the cornner of your eye.

why do fairies sometimes take our belongings? it is possible that there might be a magical spell that they're working on, that may require items taken from the earthly plane, we may or not get our items back.
faries like bread, cake, milk, and honey. Very Happy

I love this forum. It brings back memories of my youth. I am from scottish descent and my mother and one of her sisters (they were war brides) use to always talk to us about the 'faeries'. I had forgotten until I read this forum lol. We were told to ask the faeries for things back when they went missing. Funny how as you grow up you lose that 'wonder'. My aunt also claims that we descent from "black gypsies' from County Mayo in Ireland. I don't have any proof of that but she was fond of reading tea leafs. Thank you for 'jogging' my memory on wonderful memories.
