How old is your child? That would make giving suggestions easier. If the child is young, I highly recommend Pussy Willow by Margaret Wise Brown. Also Bear in the Big Blue House is good for fun reading that also include Luna. (A good way to open the lines with young children).
If the child is older though I will have to think about it. lol I'm sure we have books here for older kids that are good for bringing in some Pagan aspects..but off the top of my head I can't come up with a title.
There are a few stories that made their rounds on the net awhile back that I have copies of if your interested in them. You would have to print them but they aren't that long..over the years I have even handwritten them so I could have a copy handy for my kids. If your interested let me know.
Good luck, I'm sure you will get many recommendations. Reading is one of the most important things we can do with/for our children.
*edited to add: While this is not "Pagan" per se it is a great book: My Side of the Mountain by Jean Craighead George (there are two others that I have not read that go to the book also: On The Far Side of the Moutain and Frightful's Mountain).
My kids and I read the first book a couple of years ago when I was homeschooling them. They get to go along for an adventure with the boy who decides to run away. The boy learns how to survive in the wild as he lives in a hollow tree.
This book would be good for children of all ages imo. Younger kids could enjoy the cuddle time while being read to and older kids should be able to read it without help, or very min. help.
