BB all,

I hope that this is the right forum in which to be posting this.

Can anyone tell me if shared dreaming really exists, because something happened last week that has convinced me that it does, but I have no idea what it means!

Firstly a bit of background - I have two really close friends in fact my only two real friends, both are older than me, one has a lot of 'ability' but hides herself from the truth ( call her 'K'), and the other desperatley wants to find the ability within her (call her 'L'). We all live in different towns and manage to meet up once a month is we are lucky!

Last week 'L' called saying that she had awoken and had a desperate need to ring me immediatley and tell me about her dream, of which I wont go into detail only to say that she was roaming the rooms of a castle, in the present day, passing 'K' and me at intervals along corriadors and on staircases, she then went on to describe the castle to me in detail.

That previous night I had also dreamt I was in a castle, only I was on the roof / battlements, at some point in the near future - not sure how I know this I just do! I described my castle to her and it was practically a perfect match to hers, the surroundings, where we both thought it was etc.. Oooh spooky we thought!

When all three of us got together a couple of nights later 'L' explained her dream to 'K', then I mentioned the similarities of my dream. To our astonishment on the same night 'K' had a similar dream, only she was in a stone cell under the castle, in the past, being chased there for commiting some crime. Her castle's description matched ours exactly. - even freakier we thought!

So between us we each gave more details until we formed a good picture of the place, which we believe to be only a few miles away from us!

What puzzles me is that although we were all dreaming we were in the same castle on the same night, we were each on different levels of the castle and in different time periods.

I'd love to be able to assign some meaning to this, other than what I consider to be obvious to me - does anyone have any thoughts?

We think the place is Durham Castle, and its literally 40 or so miles away, it's a place that I have never been to, though I suppose I should go and se the place just to see if it fits in with the imagery that we saw.

The three of us are all at different points along our path, and I see our position in the castle as an indicator of those points, this would correspond to the time settings too.

We are close friends, all feeling as though we have know each other for our entire lives, yet have only been friends for a few years, but the energy that abounds when we are together is truly magickal and uplifting, 'L' says that when she sits close to either me or 'K' she feels drunk and has to go through the grounding techniques that I taught her.

No matter how bad things get for us individually, and believe me they have been, and are bad now, we know that we will never let eachother down. We laugh and have appointed each of us as 'unofficial maiden, mother & crone' due to our ages and jokingly call each other soul sisters, but I think that that is what we truly are.

Thank you for your input on this. It's not something that I have experienced with so much clarity before but I certainly believe shared dreaming is a reality now.

Pagan-Mystress how wonderful for you all. I have exprienced shared dreaming with my dad for a number of years now. He and I have always been so close that when he is ill I know exactly whats wrong etc. As we live a long way apart we every so often have dreams of sitting and talking, the next day can recall to eachother what the other was wearing. And on really special occassions my aunty, his sister who has passed also joins us. This we love as she is very special to us.

So enjoy the fact that you share this with people so close and special to you.
