I would like to take a moment to introduce myself my closest freinds and family members call me Lodemai. I also use this name to write under on the internet.
I'm a single mother of two wonderful children and I'm a voodist. I believe in God first and for most but I also know that he did not leave us along on this plane. This is where many refer to angels I call them the LOA! I have been studing various areas of the occult since I was a child and found my heart was at peace with the LOA. I have also have a great respect for all beliefs we all need somthing to give us strength in the good times as those trying times.
I have been talking to the dead since I was a child around the age of four. This is what my grandmother has told me and documented for me. I recieved this information around the time I was 8 when I saw my grandfathers death & then his brothers a year later. The deaths were quiet and if you can call death happy well that is what they were. They were with their there sweethearts when they past both gave them a kiss and the went to that final sleep.
As I got older in my teens I will say I was using magick and my ablities to amuse myself & friends not a good choice and any young witch reading this needs to understand this is not a parker brothers game and all warnings must be taken seriously. I learned the hard way in my early twenties I ran from my ablities because I had scared myself so bad. Basically I shut down, I was lost and had so many walls up around me I felt alone for the first time in my life.
As I hit my thirties I started to research the past and learn about my family. I found I gained my ablities from both my dad & mom's side. The more I learned the more the walls came down then in March of 2004 I visited New Orleans on a crazy last minute decision. There I felt alive again, I visited Erzulie's Authentic Voodoo in the heart of the Quarters and I had found the guidance I had been needing. Then I found this website on MSN pages and started reading everything I could get my hands on.
Today I'm 34, I have written my first book and I'm halfway through my second, and I'm happy to have found my balance. So I say thank you so much for everyone who have helped me get here to my happy place.
