Hi, I'm looking for some advice please.

I've scoured the site for something to do with this, but all I can see it the bit about St Johns Wort oil.

I have a friend with an 8 year old daughter, who has been diagnosed with Bladder Incontinence, she is fine through the day, but has a tendancy to wet the bed overnight.

As you will appreciate, she is finding this upsetting and mum is quite distressed that her daughter is going through this.

The advice that the medical staff have given her, worked for a short time only and now she is looking for some alternative help, but doesn't know where to start, and has asked me if I know of anything. All I can think of is to reduce fluid intake/citrus & caffinated drinks, then I'm coming up blank.

I have in the back of my mind a gemstone/crystal which helps with bladder control but it's name is escaping me at the moment! Does anyone have any ideas, remedies or techniques that I can pass on to her?

Thank you for taking the time to think about this.

I will take a look into what I can find out....and get back with you I know this must be very distressing for all involved....

There are a couple fo stones....but I need to find them.

It seems that Azurite/Malachite is a stoe that might be useful, but I need to check to be sure....

Hopefully someone else will come up with some info that might be useful as well.

Hang in there, and let us know if you happen upon any info.

Thank You LE,

I know that Malachite is protective where children are concerned, but I have no information on healing properties regarding them, neither for Azurite, but I will glady accept your greater knowledge.

I have given her a recipe for some healing oil which she can add to her daughters bath, and suggested adding a couple of pieces of Citrine to the water as I know citrine is helpfull for the kidneys, other associated organs, and generally enhances healing energies. (Although I know somewhere in the back of my mind their is a stone that aids bladder disorders - been through my BOS several times and can't find it!)

I have researched a few sources but can only find info regarding adult disorders, and I am wary of recommending a herbal infusion for a child, as herbalism is not my strong suit and would rather take advice from someone with the herbalists skill - and if I can find one of those anywhere, it's got to be in this castle!

Thank you again for your help.

Carnelian is associated with the root and sacral chakras. Physically, carnelian has been used to heal open sores, rejuvenate tissues and cells, rheumatism, kidney stones and other kidney problems, gall stones, colds, pollen allergies, and neuralgia.

Coral is used for general healing, blood and circulatory system issues, kidney, bladder, epilepsy, bone and bone marrow, eye problems, and the respiratory system.

That is more info I have came up wwith for you....hope it helps!

Hi Pagan - mystress I have some infro for you that may be of interest.

I know you said that it is irritable bladder but I thought the same things for bed wetting could be used.

- make an infusion from equal amounts of cornsilk and st john's wort, and give 30 - 45ml / 2 - 3 tbsp witha little honey three thimes a day.

Some more stones to think of are :

Cuprite - aids in heart and blood, muscle tissue, and skeletal system; overcomes metabolic imbalances; treats bladder and kiddney malfunction; helps vertigo and altitude sickness.

Aquamarine - treats swollen glands and sore throats; strengthens cleansing organs, liver, spleen and kidneys. Aids teeth, jaw, eyes, throat and stomach.

Amethsyt - boosts production of hormones, strengthens cleansing organs and circulatory system, calms nervous system, unites scattered energies. Aids insomnia, hearing, endocrine, glands, digestive tract, heart, cellular disorder.

Hope some of these ideas are helpful to you.

Thank you so much for that Kath, your help is greatly appreciated.

I will pass this information on to my frlend, or more than likely, end up making the infusion for her Smile

Milk can cause the bladder to spasm. Sometimes not serving milk 3 hours before a child goes to bed fixes this. A little hard for kids who are used to the glass of milk before, but an easy experiment if they're old enough to decide to just try it for two nights to see if it works for them.

Hope this helps.
