Some general questions I'd like to pick your collective brains about.....

My daughter has moved into a three-bedroom six-person dorm.
( Rude awakening for Princess )

She packed my Happy Home Buddha statue.
That doesn't seem to be working so much for her........

The others do not know about our path. She doesn't want to hide but sees no reason for this to be a open issue for obvious reasons.

There are alot of issues. Mistrust, lack of respect for each others privacy,
truckloads of drama and negativity.

My basic question is this I guess,
Would it be "wrong" to use kitchen witchery when preparing group meals for her dorm mates? My daughter seems to think this is imposing on their will and not right as they follow more traditional religious backgrounds.
I would love to go up with a nice pot of soup, homemade bread, and pie.
Maybe offer to clean the room ............

Do you think I'm meddling ( I can handle the truth, be honest)
and if not, Any wise women out there have any advice how to
increase harmony and protection without obvious spell-crafting
the room-mates would notice or percive as odd?

I don't think when your cooking something for your daughter and her roommates to eat, thinking positive, harmonious and loving thoughts is meddling or forcing your ways on anyone. Nor would be adding different spices and herbs that correspond with those things if they belonged in the dish. To think good thoughts for someone does not force anything on them, imo. No more than smiling at someone as you pass them in your daily lives.

As for things in their room without causing strange looks, unwanted questions or disrespect. Have you thought of feng shui? I keep wind chimes in my home to ward off negativity and keep balance. Also you could suggest a placement of a mirror in the disguise to those that are not of your daughters faith as decorating tips/ideas. Most young people are aware of and open to feng shui though as it has gotten so much positive attention over the years by celebrities and other sources.
She could use oil burner rings that go on lightbulbs under the pretense of making the room smell nice too. This should also be acceptable for any rules that do not allow burning items in the room (as I believe all dorms have now from what I have seen from posts on the net).

I don't think lieing should have to be done but flat out truth isn't always possible and since your daughter wants to keep her beliefs to herself but yet still have her things respected, this to me seems to be a way of doing it.

Edit: I wanted to also add that everyone that has come into my home and seen the windchimes have never commented. I think a lot of people see them as decor so they have never asked me why I have a windchime in the house. If feng shui did not want to be used or explained, she could say that it is of something that she really likes (butterflies, wolves, angels, whatever type she gets) and leave it at that.

I had intended to discuss kitchen withcery more in depth in that section as well, but I'll talk a little bit about it now in relation to your situation. Kitchen witchery from my point of view is using subtle magic to slowly infuse an environment with positive energy. Unless you are specifically casting a spell on an individual, you really aren't directly manipulating them. Sharing a magically prepared meal or simmering a magical brew to scent the air cultivates positive energy in an environment, but a person has to be willing to let that energy in. As there is an element of choice, you are not imposing on someone else.

I'll probably put up more today that will be a bit better organized.

Funny, you know.......she had no problem with kitchen witchery when she baked that apple pie for the boy up the street.......

Your very welcome Sophi. Keep in mind there will come a day that she will realize that you do know some things. It will shock her and she won't want to admit it for awhile but then she won't be able to deny it. lol I remember when that realization hit me and the day I started sounding like my mom..lol The day I said something just like my mom I stopped dead. lol She had told me that day would come but I, in my infinite knowledge, didn't think she knew what she was talking about. lol

I had to laugh when I read about the pie. I think sometimes we see things different when we are interested in a boy. lol
I'm sure that everything will work out in the end for her and this situation.
