July 27th ~ Innocence
An Angel Reminder: Innocence is always just a breath away.
Our souls remain in a pure state of innocence. Why? Because innocence allows us freedom from rigid beliefs and stale ways of being, all of which inhibit the soul's growth. Because it is so often confused with naivete', or even stupidity, innocence is often not rewarded in a society that puts a high value on criticism and opinion. True innocence, however, is the opposite of naivete'; one must be extremely conscious and at peace with oneself in order to risk being free of preconception, judgement, and other dogmatic behaviors that we so often use to define and secure our identity. What prevents us from allowing ourselves to become innocent? Fear at looking foolish, of acting like a child rather than an adult? Worries that weigh us down so heavily that we feel guilty about setting our minds free simply to enjoy life for a moment, a day, or the rest of our lives? When we wish to rediscover our natural innocence, all we need to do is to call upon the angels, for innocence is their natural state as well.
Imagine the angels giving your soul a bath, washing it in innocence. Take a deep breath and allow a moment of innocence to fill your lungs.
An Angelic Reflection: My soul and spirit are innocent and free.
