I had a dream when I was in 6th grade and I can still remember a little bit of it. I think it might be one of my past lives, probably in Pompeii in either AD 62 during the earthquake or 79 when Vesuvius destroyed Pompeii. All I can remember is a hole in the stone floor of the building I was in, and myself and another person - perhaps my father? - putting something in or taking something out. The ground started to shake and I ran toward the outside and then everything went white and I woke up. I remember feeling - after i woke up - that I had been going after my mother. . .

I think I might have been in the Temple of Venus although I can't give any reason why; nor do I have any idea what I was doing digging in holes in the floor. It's just always stuck with me and try as I might I haven't had any further dreams to clarify any of it.

I accept that I might not need to know any more than was shown me, but if anyone can offer any insight, or advice on how to revisit this I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you.

Quite often when we have dreams such as this that stick with us for a long time, it is safe to say that it played a part in your life, or one of your lives anyways.

Same thing goes with 'memories' or feelings.

Don't worry about trying to figure it all out, if you are supposed to, you will.

My philosophy is this, if it feels that way in your gut, then that's just how it is.

LE has posted some past life regression meditations tha tif you like you could try.

Feronia,

I am not especially competent at interpreting dreams, but I'll try my hand at it.

Sometime dreams can tell one about past lives, but there are usually other factors that will hint at your past life in certain aspects of your current life. Have you had any other hints reinforcing the image in your dream?

Earthquake dremas often refer to a major trauma or change, some form of instabiliy (obviously). I think earthquakes would be more likely to reflect a physical or material instability rather than a mental or emotional one. Have you been going through major changes, such as moving or losing a job?

Your age in the dream is interesting, but I can't provide much there. Being a child places you in a position of dependence in the dream and a sense of trust in others. The trust is being ripped away by natural forces.

Well, that's the best I can do, perhaps some one more talented will try their hand at this.

I don't recall if I was a child or not, but I felt that some parental figure was there. . . It's all become so blurry that I can't be sure of who was there with me in the dream, if anyone. . .

About a month after I had this dream, my class studied Pompeii and Vesuvius and I remembered the dream. Since then I've been trying to figure out if that's where I was, not so much to know whether or not I ever lived in Pompeii, but to figure out whether or not I've lived past lives.

It was the first time I ever thought that Christianity might not be all right. Since then I've struggled with religion as well as wanting and yet fearing to find out more about my past lives. I think I'm ready now, finally, to do so.

Thank you for posting and I think I will try some past life regression meditations. I'm still a little to uncertain to try a trance, but I'll get there.

I've always had a tremendous fear of water and used to dream that I was drowning, I really want to find out if there is a reason for this. In my current life I can think of none as I could swim independently by the time I was 3 and my family all love water.

Not that any of this is likely to interest anyone, but I wanted to share in case anyone could offer some insight.

Thanks again!

Hi Feronia, I have always believed as Novia if your gut tells you someting than go with that. Usually great fobias are a carry over from past lives. I have a huge fear of small spaces and being closed in and know that this is from a past life.

Some meditations Lady E has posted would work well, be patient it will come in time. Sometimes it comes in a little at a time if it was traumatic so that you have time to adjust to the new knowledge.

Good luck with it all.

That was a fascinating one that Feronia had about Pompeii. I had one just the other night, where I had served as some type of advisor to Amenhotep I or Amenophis I. When I woke, the name "Amenhotep" came to mind, and when I looked it up I found both names, and the second name, Amenophis, felt more accurate. I'd never felt much attraction to Egypt before, but in the last year or so noticed an increased interest developing after all. In the dream, he came to me about a dream he had had, regarding a male child who had possessed this divine quality or power about him. He wanted me to look for this child to bring to him, to raise him as his own son. I found the boy and his father and he willingly gave his son to the Pharaoh, and was rewarded handsomely.
