What not to do while observing the lunar eclispe...

1. Don't bring out the comfy reclining lounge chair that reclines into the perfect sleeping position
2. Don't teach all day on three hours sleep and then sit in above lounge chair
3. Don't decide that it would be nice to also have cozy blanket from the sofa draped over your legs
4. Don't cuddle with cozy, snuggly, fluffy puppy who is exhausted from a hard day of being the center of the universe
5. Don't be surprised when you wake up at three in the morning sound asleep in your front yard....

BTW: The eclipse in Hawaii began around 11 pm...I completely missed the return of the moon...

Also DON'T turn your attention away from said puppy while attempting to make a comment...not if you value the leg of your expensive dining room table that is....

So as I observed the disappearance of the moon, I wondered what our ancestors must have thought about eclipses.

How amazing to watch the moon progress through all (in my case half) the phases in one night.

Blessings,
Gaia

It began around 5 am here in Michigan. She was impressive, huge and so bright. The clouds parted just before the earth's shadow began its journey. The first time in a couple of years that it has been clear enough to see any eclipse here.

Wonder how loudly the ancestors beat the drums and rattled the shells to bring back the moon?

Blessings,
