I need help with this please, Im really confused by it.
I was working around my house the other day when suddenly
I got very very sleepy, couldnt keep my eyes open and I had to lie
down. I dont take naps or anything, yet I simply had to this time.
I must have feel asleep immediatley because I astral travled.
I used to travel when I was young, but have not done so for
many years. When I did I would wake up, remember where I
travled and find a mark in the shape of a 6 bleeding just below
and between my little finger and ring finger. I always had this mark
bleeding when I travled, it is a scar now in the shape of a 6.
Anyway, I travled to a void, nothing around me, only greyness, but I
was surrounded by Witches, some middle aged, but most very old,
anchient. Some had hooded robes on them, some robes with no hood,
and the robes were either brown or black.
All of the Witches were women and were milling about, walking and talking
to each other.
As I stood there, a very very old woman in a black robe without a hood
turned toward me and said, and these are the exact words....
" You cannot be a Witche until you pass through the Witches Gate"
As I stood there, the other women in the room encircled me and
I saw bamboo slats tied together, like a gate, but not a gate.
Then I woke up, and remembered everything and looked at my
left hand expecting to see the  6 scar bleeding, but it wasnt.
But what did happen was that on the inside of my right forearm
as the day progessed was a mark about five inches long, like the tip
of a dagger or a very narrow sword and it looked like it had been
burned there, very red and shinny like a burn, but there was no pain
whatsoever. This mark is now after four days fading from the red but will
leave what will look like a narrow sharp pointed burn.
I would appreciate any input on this that I can get.
It seems that since this happened, I have felt out of whack, ungrounded.
Just so you know, Iam fifty eight years old and do not play at being
a Wiccan, I take my path very serious.

Marioam. At the moment about all's I can say is wow.

It's been a long time since someone has opened their souls and shared such a powerful experience.

Let me soak it in for a spell and I'll share what comes to mind with ya.

I am no expert at astral travel and have never experienced anything that powerful, but I will offer what advice I can ( and I doubt any of it will be news to you).  This is just my thoughts on what you have mentioned, and I in no way will claim to be wise enough to fully understand visions of any sort.

What you have described sounds like the beginnings of a textbook example of a spiritual initiation.  From the vision you described, I say spiritual not magickal because my interpretation of your vision leads me to believe that the disciples of your spiritual path apparently feel that your are strong enough to have your essence, your spirit body, cultivated more directly.

The six would appear on your left hand, the direction of passivity/feminine.

The symbol six (is that a number in your numerology forecast?) is a very holy number.  It is the number representing spirtual balance and harmony.  Divided in half, it is composed of two number threes--the Divine number.  There are six points to the Merkabah, as it is composed to two overlapping triangles (one pointing up symbolizing the Divine masculine and one pointing down symbolizing the Divine Feminine).

The knife or sword on your arm is very intersting.  The mark is symbolically masculine.  It appeared on your right arm, the direction equated with the masculine/action polarity.  In realation to the spiritual, the knife and sword are often equated with guardianship.

Interpreting this vision based on symbolism, I would say that your spiritual role in this realm will be transformed from self cultivation to one of activity and protection.  You are not yet initiated, but you have been chosen to be tested.  Should you accept this, you will have many trails ahead of you.

I would advise having a reading performed for more information.

Well put Stacey, you have a great knowledge of many things.  One thing I was thinking was also the balancing of the male and female energies within.  But can't any more to what you have already put forward.  I agree with a reading though.

Dearest Ladies, thank you so much for your input.
Stacy, some of this does indeed come as a surprise to me and
perhaps helps answer some other questions that I have had.
Many of the dreamvisions that I have are portents of things to come,
earthquakes, airplane crashes, 9/11. It has broken my heart that
I can do no more with these visions then watch the tv and wait to hear about them actually happening.
I do not talk about much of anything that I have happen to me. People
to seem feel that I calim to see things or have dream visions because I
crave attention. This is not so. It is just that things seem to be getting more intense and occur more often.
And sometimes I do so need to tell someone what I have seen or had a vision about.
When I first began my path, I was given a wakeing vision of the Goddess and God on of all things on the brick wall of the house next door late one night when the Goddess Moon was at the full. I was sitting at my kitchen table, something had awoken me, but I dont know what, and I went to my kitchen and sat there, looking out the window at the house next door. And there on the wall was a
black shadow, like a hooded man, then the shadow shifted and became a woman in a white hooded cape, then shifted back to the man shape, then to the woman.
I sat there watching this happen for about ten minutes, then suddenly the shadow
was gone and the brick wall was plain and gleaming in the moonlight.
I had heard of the Lord and Lady, and I got on line and started reading and after a week, I knew what I had been shown. I believe in my Path as strongly as I belive that what I saw that late moonlite night was the Goddess and God showing me an old path that I had once followed and forgetton.
I will ask for a reading and keep you dear Ladies informed of what I find out.
What I may learn may also help someone else.

I have had a feeling ( that is the easiest way to put it) or  a knowing of a path long ago travelled by myself.  I have experienced a past life memory - or I should say several memories of this life that I pieced together over time.  And years ago when first coming to this path I would read so much on so many different topics, I had a huge thirst for knowledge and things that I read would triger a knowing.  I knew I knew some of what I was reading and it was like a home coming of sorts.  With time and while doing my first Reiki attunement I had the most powerful past life memory that help me to understand things I was going through at the time.  It was at times frustrating, confusing , scarey, joyous, fun a whole lot of different things rolled into one.  I sometimes feel homesick for a place I have not been in this life, for things that I can not do in this life, but know I could.  

Well with my ramble stopped there I wish you luck again.

Thank you so much for all of the wisdom and advice.
I continue with my quest to learn more about the quest Im supposed to be on.
One thing that I seem to have a very strong vision of and this is a wakeing vision is that I am supposed to take two sticks of wood and hold them in each hand and
first starting with the North, stop at each of the directions and call upon the
Watchers there. I am to acknowlede their existence, and call upon them to be with me and to aid me.
Then I am to stand in the center of the circle and call upon the Witches of Old that came to me. I then   kneel and accept them as my teachers, and I dedicate my living life and my Spiritual well being to them.
This is not an easy dedication, this will require great belief, heartaches, and blessings. Much that I am now I must learn to put behind me, many of those that I love cannot follow me. I will be tested and there will be little quarter given.
My teachings will continue into my next life, and the next.
And as I learn, I will begin teaching, and the Circle of my life as a Witche will begin.
I have not accepted this offer, and the Old One's wait. But not for too  much longer. Do I have the strength? Will I close doors to my family that I will have to close? Am I worthy of this honor?
I both fear and long for it.
This is not something that even the Goddess can help me with, but I feel her near and feel her love.
I know one thing, that I was directed here to you beautiful Witches for a reason, and that I will not forget.

I chose to accept the inviation and the test tht the Anchient Sisters have offered me.
My acceptence Ritual was not quite as I siad it needed to be, but very  close.
Please forgive me if I do not describe it, for it is not for others to know in case they
receive the invation. I have been made to understand that the Ritual is to be personal and
diffrent perhaps for each person.
What is happening now is that I am receiving perhpas omens, all of the animal type.
A dove cooing above the roof of my kitchen which is my sacred space, and then flying in a
circle around me when I went outside to see.  It flew Widdershins, and I have no idea what that would mean.
Today, the 9th, outside flying low above my house, 8 Hawks, reeling and swirling in the wind of the
storm that was coming. I watched them for a full minute, and thanked the Goddess for them and then they flew away. Again, I am trying to find the meaning.
Also, my familar, my cat has been restless all day. Storms do not bother him, and he so rarely
meows that when he does, I notice right off.
Something stirs in the air around me, and for the life of me I cannot figure out what it is yet.
And so, I ask for your opinions dear Sisters.

That is interesting Marioam, but a bit difficult to read.  The dove over your sacred place seems a positive think.  The 8 hawks are a bit difficult to interpret.  Eight is very contradictory in its symbolism--in the West it referes to negativity and unfortunate events, but in the East it is a number of good fortune and abundance.  The hawk is a messanger, and a noted sacred bird.  I think you are being communicated with, but I think you must wait in order to understand why you are being alerted.
