I'm new to this forum. It seems like it took ages to find a still-active pagan/wiccan community on the internet.
I'm 17, I've held an interest in wicca since I was 13 when I dismissed it because I felt I probably -was- just trying to make my parents angry. But since then I've been drawn back again and again to this path. Finally, I have started my studies in wicca and witchcraft, and next year when I am eighteen plan to enroll in a wiccan degree program as well as a formal college herbalism course, if such a thing exists.

I very much like talking about the religious aspects of life, and though I was always somewhat pessimistic before 'finding' my religion (It's more like it found me!) I'm now much happier and more cheerful than when I had forced myself to adhere to any 'mainstream' sort of religion that I didn't truly believe in. I've been told my many I have intense spiritual energies, I can communicate in some sense with the God and Goddess while meditating, and I do so a lot. I've also been practicing astral projection and.. hehe, I'm sorry for rambling.

Anyways, I hope to meet lots of nice people here, and feel free to IM or add me on any of the messenger addresses I have linked to my profile. But please say where you're from when you contact me, I can be scatterbrained at times

It's nice to see you here, and I hope we can assist you in answering any questions or thoughts concerning your Spiritual Path. There is much here in that capacity with loads of information in the Book of Shadows (BOS) and the Encyclopedias as well as the forum here. So grab something to drink, settle in, and enjoy.

As for your question involving coming in or out-of-the-closet in another thread....I would have your folks look over this web site...check out the recipes and crafts, as well as other parts of the site.....BUT be sure to be well versed in all the site offers...be sure tolook around and be willing to answer questions...

Stacey had some excellent advice, and she is very wise for her young years.....in the end, the decision in yours, but while living under your parents roof, you must be willing to compromise....and that is a skill that you can learn and use later in life as well. Life is not easy, and the tools and knowledge you gather now, will help you immensely in the years to come.
