Hi everyone,
I know its been a while since i last posted, its been one of those years!!!  I have a very big problem with my 9 year old boy and if we dont find a solution soon he's gonna get kicked out of school and his fathers gonna send him to boarding school!!!!! He's got a major anger problem, he cant seem to control it and is really hurting the other kids in his class ( hes not a small lad!). Hes been through a hell of alot in his life, i left him with his father when he was 2 due to post natal depression and it turns out that wasnt a good thing. Theres alot of other stuff too, but way too much to metion here. I cant seem to get him to talk about what makes him angry, part of that is his dads scared him into not talking to me in the past (mummy will go nuts ect...) But hes not talking to his councellour either. Tried just about every behaviour incentive system going, talking to him, explaining why what he does is wrong. Nothing seems to help!! Even tried meditation, but his dad is seriously anti "pagan stuff" because thats my "thing" so he makes a big thing of it with my son, making him stop ect...
I just really dont know what else to try!!  Has anyone got any suggestions??????!!!!!!
Hes 10 in january, which means he can be arrested for any assualts, and some of the stuff hes done are serious enough for the police to get involved!!! Help please!!!
Bright Blessings, Ivoryathena.xxx

Gee Ivoryathena.  The first thing that jumped out at me was that with out a united front from both you and your husband it is fighting a loosing battle.  If he can't support you in your beliefs that one thing but it shouldn't come into the equation when dealing with your son.  The other thing is if the councellor can't get him to talk, look for a differnt one.  At his age a boy needs a really strong positive male infulinse in their life so what is your husband doing to help with the situation?

What a hard area to deal with, I feel for you.  Our children need to learn that their are consequences for their actions and sending him off to boarding school doesn't seem like such a good idea as it is only putting the problem into someone elses hands.  Have you had him to the doctor to see if there is medically something wrong, may be a chemical imbalance..  Just a thought.

All I can say is you should stop blaming yourself for leaving when he was two, your situation was out of your hands.  And blaming yourself wont fix the problem now.  Apart from this I don't know what else to say to you apart from I send you all the healing energy to help.

I hope you find a solution soon.

Blessings to you and strenght.

Kath
