Hello All,

Confused Okay, so I know I seem pretty sketchy here, but Hello all!  Just took a short bypass through the land of ouch, ouch and once again.... okay you got it! Have been wading through the waters of emotional purgatory, but am finally getting on with life.

Headed off to a new, single life in Boise, Idaho in a few more weeks and am trepidatious as well as excited. Held on to the old life for 32 years, but here I go, Hi Ho , Hi HO...

Oddly, just after I made the final decision to leave New Mexico, I found out that there is quite alot of activity in this state.  So for those of you who are close...there is a group  named 'Our Lady of the Woods' based out of Los Alamos. They are starting a college and setting up classes just below there in the Jemez Valley and you can find them on the internet.  I also hear there is a Druid Circle and Grove in the East Mountains of Albuquerque.

The group in Los Alamos believes it is time to come out of the broom closet so to speak and begin to stand openly for our beliefs.

As for myself, I am having many interesting dreams of past lives as I begin to wonder where this one will take me. Hoping some of the olde lessons learned will guide me along.

Will try not to be gone s'much.  Tyche

Novia &Sundown,

Thanks for the kind thoughts, good to be back.

Sundown, I so enjoy your site .  Have been making staffs and dreaming of tree people since I was a very young girl. I had always been able to see the figures, but had never seen the faces before your site postings. I have had several incidents where, after collecting a staff or twisted wands, I have had to take them back out of the car, either because someone refused to allow me to transport them, or we picked up stranded motorist and had to make room for folks. The first time I made a staff at age 9. I was at camp and seemed to know exactly what to do. Spent two weeks stripping, carving, them smoking the patterns out.  I dressed it with hair conditioner and hand rubbed it 'til it was just glowing. When it came time for home, although there was plenty of room, I was forced to leave it behind. The last happened right after my initial joining of this site. Again at other times I feel like removing it from the site is disturbing the natural order somehow. The question I would like to put to you is,do I need a sort of ritual of thought or action that will allow me to successfully bring them to a new home?

Your input always greatly appreciated,

Thanks Tyche

So sorry it took me so long to answer. There is no ritual. At least not that I use. I simply trust my feelings. Wood speaks slowly, sometimes it takes me months or years to decide what to do. If it decides to stay, so be it. I personally  offer a prayer and leave an offering for anything I bring out of the woods. Let your own heart and soul guide you. Trust in yourself. From what you have said the trees do. And I trust the trees!

Blessings
Sundown

Edit to add:
I think this may be the most difficult question I have ever been asked. I guess I have been in the woods and wild lands so long I don't even realize what or how I do things. Let me ponder on this a bit and see if I can get you a better answer. Mostly I trust to sight, touch, feel, and intuition. I will get back to you on this.
