You do have some stellar photos Sundown. I love your area......I still need to get over there and haunt the place with you! Your land is so diverse and beautiful...the magical places are many, and I know it would be an experience to remember! Seamonster, it does have a wonderful smell to it down here...my backyard is covered in oaks and leaves right now...the dampness from the rains gives the mornings such a spectacular fragrance.....(if you are not close to the papermills that is).

the fourth one down, seems to be a head of a dead/sleeping giant.. They're beautiful pictures, every one of 'em. Makes me wish I lived in a more woodsy area.
You got a new camera? Cool!! What type did you get? I also received a new camera as my last one was stolen....argh, can you imagine 2 whole months with throw away cameras? Not fun. Anyway, still getting used to the new one, it is a Kodak EasyShare. Pretty cool, has a closer zoom and more pixels, more toys. I still miss my old one though.
Down south on the old plantation. Just that sentence sounds pretty blissful...lol. Would love to see some pics of that!
Over on the ice I spotted this crane (? I am not sure, but I think it is a crane) tried out my zoom, it didn't turn out as well as I'd have liked but....still learning. And the bottom picture is of the river at sunset.
Wow, that place is awesome! The pictures surprised me, I thought it was your place. lol Then I saw it and either you are VERY well off, or you are working or taking a course there or whatever....funny. AND if it is your place....holy......nice.

I love the plantation....it is an amazing place with an even more amazing history. One day I am going to have to drive down there......
