Hi IndieShadows

One of them is Rose Pink -  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitter_floom

I will have to look into the others. I am in the midst of learning about the wildflowers that inhabit Louisiana, so this interests me very much.

Hope someone else can help!!

If need be I can try to take better pictures.

Lets see if this also helps......

The first one I see all over. purpulish pink flowers.

The second is blueish purpulish, vine like, climbs up anything, oblong leaves, they develop small seed pods that look like green beans or snow pea pods.

The third is answered!! lol Thank you Lady E. Very Happy

The fourth one is new to my yard. A single stalk like of woodish feel, with long slender leaves the whole length, 3 to 5 shoots at the top with 1 inch blueish flowers that close up after only a few hours of blooming.

The first  and second one is Henbit, native to south eastern US: have this all over my yard here in Ga, and will try to locate the info I have on it for you.It may still be on my old computer.

The third  and fourth pics, I am not as sure of........from the picuter it almost appears to be a stunted day flower. Cna you tell me if it is "sticky" or "grabby" when you try to pull it, or gather it?

Fifth and Sixth is wild clover, of which there are many species and sub-species.....and yes you can look for the four leafed leaves amongst this one, they are rare because it is actually a deformity in some plants which produces them..

The third, I will again have to consult my other pics and info, when I find it.......I have this one everywhere too, and at first thought it was in the family along with Evening Primerose, can't fully remeber what the info was now.....

I used several online sorces and I have two really good books ,my favorite of which is the "Peterson Field Guides-Eastern/Central Mediciinal Plants and Herbs" . It has really good pictures which help to identify many of our local plants where I live in Ga.

Lady Elaine, didn't know we were almost nextdoor  neighbors state wise! Small world!

Check with the LSU Ag. and Research center if there is one close or the local Parish "County" Ag agent.
