Companions for your Plants
Every good witch needs a garden of some size, to supplement her needs at the least. When you decide on what to plant this year consider companions for your plants. There are plants that help or complaint each other while other plants can hinder the development of your planned garden. We have a few suggestions for you that will also help you get a few herbs into your garden beds.
Basils work well with Peppers and Tomatoes
Melons work well with Corn and Radishes
Sage work well with Beets and Carrots
Strawberries work well with Lettuce and Onions
Parsley works well with Tomatoes and asparagus
Marigolds work well with Beans and Cabbage
Nasturtium work well with squash and melons
Sunflowers work well with Corn and Cucumbers
Petunias work well with Beans
Chamomile works well with Onions and Cabbage
Hyssop works well with grapes and cabbage
Dill works well with lettuce and beets
Stinging Nettle is known to work well with almost all plants
Rue and Fennel don’t play well with others. Keep them separate from most of your other plants.
